Mr. John Tyler Barker, age 77, of Crandall passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga surrounded by his loving family.
He opened B & B Tractor in 1980; there he made a living for his family, and was able to serve the customers whom he loved.
Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Vernon Barker; mother, Viola Beatrice Tate; sister, Peggy Arnold; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luther (Luke) & Esta Caylor Green.
Survivors include wife, Shirley Green Barker of Crandall; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles & Lynn Barker of Dalton, Willard Goforth of Nashville, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Wanda & Dennie Ferguson and Debbie Compton –all of Lebanon, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise & JR Rutherford, Gay & Johnny Vestal, and Jenny Leonard –all of Bristol, VA; grandchildren John Henry Barker of Dalton, Devin Barker of Dalton, Tyler Barker of Crandall, Kenny Dillard of Dalton and other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Eli & Emma Barker, Kayden Dillard and other great-grandchildren; special niece, Christie Green Brewer.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Barker will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Burnette officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairy Valley Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home.

John R. Berry, age 56, of Ranger and originally of Fort Payne, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at AdventHealth Gordon.
He was preceded in death by his father, R L Berry; son, Johnathan Craig Berry; and brother, Robert Berry.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Berry; sons and daughters-in-law, Jason & Cathy Hamilton of Chatsworth, Lee & Sonya Hamilton of Chatsworth, and Heath & Michelle Hamilton of Salem, AL; mother, Bernise Hastings of Fort Payne, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky Berry of Florida and Anita Berry of Gadsden, AL; sisters and brother-in-law, Cindy & Danny Minton of Fort Payne, AL and Tammy Reece of Fort Payne, AL; grandchildren, Vince Motley, Alex Summers, Autumn Hamilton, Devin Hamilton, Aryonna Hamilton, Cheyenne Juarez, Sierra Hamilton, Nez Hamilton, Tess Hamilton, Tiffany Berry, Kaylie Berry, and Dalton Motley; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Berry will be cremated, and no public memorial services will be held.

APRIL 5, 1946 ~ NOVEMBER 4, 2018 (AGE 72)
John Fletcher Harris, age 72 of Chatsworth passed away Sunday, November 4th 2018 in Erlanger Medical Center.
He was born April 5, 1946 in Live Oak, Florida. He served in the United States Army from 1965 through 1967. He was a member of Homeland Baptist Church and he was a wonderful father, grandfather “Pop”, and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Ann Defore Harris; parents, V.C. and Ada Bell Harris; brothers, Ralph and Vernon Harris; sisters, Ailene Sellers, Mary West, and Winnie Ruth Hughes.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Harris Bartley (Earl) and Jo Ann Harris Flood; grandchildren, Josh and Jordan Flood, Bethany, Jocelyn and Jonathan Bartley; brothers, Ted and Roger Harris; sisters, Mable Osborne and Lynda Flood (Lamar); nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of John Fletcher Harris will be 2:00 Wednesday, November 7th 2018 from Homeland Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Poteet and Rev. Matthew Harris officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, November 6th 2018.

John Roy Brackett: Obituary
Obituaries October 17, 2018Mr. John Roy Brackett, age 93 of Cisco, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, October 4th, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith.
Johnny was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and proudly served his country during WW II. He will be especially remembered in the community and state for his great love and knowledge of the Cohutta Wilderness due to the many long hours acquired across a lifetime of hunting and fishing. Subsequently, he acquired an impressive collection of local Indian artifacts.
After retirement from the U.S. Forestry Service, he spent most Saturdays cheering on the U.T. Vols. He was a devoted and loyal fan in both football and basketball, especially Pat Summitt’s Lady Vols.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Douthitt Brackett; his parents Rev. J.E. and Etta Brackett; sister Gladys Ellis; brothers: Willie (Edna), J.P. (Louise), and Herbert Brackett; sisters-in-law Phyllis (Bill) Campbell and Maxine (Roy) Kersey.
John Roy is survived by his “special grandchildren Jack and Audrey Stafford, along with his faithful and loyal companion Buddy. Nieces: Lisa (John) Stafford; Pamela (Tom) Ownby; Teresa (Steven) Suttles; nephews: Jerry (Susan) Ellis, Harold Brackett; and sister Leoma Brock; great and great-great nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.
The family wishes to thank his devoted caregivers: Jeremy and Leia Collins, Tammy Hesson, Faye Manis and Tina Flatters. Their love and kindness allowed John Roy to remain where he was most happy, at home, with his faithful dog Buddy.
