Woman Charged During Vehicle Stop on Hwy 286

On 11/09/2021, a vehicle stop was conducted on a Silver Mercedes passenger vehicle that was being driven on Highway 286 in Murray County with a temporary tag. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Crystal Michelle Hester of Dodd Road in Ringgold, Catoosa County, Georgia. A Georgia State Patrol Trooper deployed his K9 and conducted a free air search and the K9 alerted to the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and approximately 31 ounces of Methamphetamine was located along with drug related proceeds (US Currency).
Crystal Michelle Hester was charged by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, and Trafficking in Methamphetamine. This investigation is still active and ongoing.

On July 19, 2021, Deputies with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office made a vehicle stop on Hwy 225 South on a vehicle for window tint violation. The driver was identified as Patrick Wade Mccoy (56) of Gordon County. Mr. McCoy became nervous and began to shake while the Deputy was speaking with him. Consent to search the vehicle was given.
Deputies located approximately two gross ounces of Methamphetamine hidden inside a blood pressure monitor box inside the vehicle. Patrick Wade McCoy was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, and Trafficking Methamphetamine.

CHATSWORTH, Ga – Murray County law enforcement searched a residence in Chatsworth, Ga that led to the arrest of John and Evelyn Parrish for their alleged drug-related activities.
On June 28, 2021, deputies served a search warrant to enter the residence and once inside they allegedly found 32.8 ounces (2 lbs) of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, and drug-related paraphernalia.
John and Evelyn Parrish were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug-related objects.
