Mr. Ricky Keener age 64 of Chatsworth passed away Monday, January 6, 2020, at Erlanger Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Cora “Toot” Keener. A brother David Keener.
Survivors include his children and spouses, Scottie Keener, Chris and Haley Keener all of Chatsworth, Toby Keener of Cohutta. Sisters, Nancy Brown of Calhoun, Joann Adams of Chatsworth. A brother Dickie Keener of Eton.
Nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 5 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Mark Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday 3 pm till the funeral hour.

Geraline Howard Chastain: Obituary

Mrs. Geraline Howard Chastain, age 81, of Tunnel Hill went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2020.
She was born on May 16, 1938 in Chatsworth.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Irene Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Chastain; sons, Billy Chastain and Darryl Chastain of Tunnel Hill; and siblings, Earl Howard and Laverne Howard of Chatsworth.
She leaves behind her sons, Terry Chastain, Larry Chastain, Wayne Chastain, Donnie Chastain, and Ronnie Chastain; many grandchildren; and siblings, Lula Howard Colter, Lester Howard, and Danny Howard.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, John 15:12: “Love one another as I have loved you.” She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. She gave the meaning of the word “family.” She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Eton and loved attending services. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
The family extends special thanks to her sister, Lula Howard Colter, for the love and care that she gave her sister.
Please join her family in celebrating her life at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jerry Davis will serve as the officiant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm before departing for the church.

Mrs. Geraldine Dunn went home to be with the Lord on January 2nd, 2020, after a very lengthy illness.
She is preceded in death by her mother and daddy: Hobert and Lillie Mae Panter, six brothers: Rufus, Loyd, James, Charlie, Wayne and Billy Ray Painter, two sisters: Benalee and Geneva,and one grandson: Michael Caldwell.
To cherish her memory: her loving husband of 66 years, Randall Dunn of Dalton, their children: Sandra (Willie) Parker, Jr. of Cleveland, TN., Vickie Tidwell of Dalton, and Randall Ray (Diane) Dunn of Chatsworth, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, brother: Paul (Martha) Panter of Cleveland, sisters: Dorothy Panter of North Carolina, Bernice Hicks of Cleveland, TN. Frances (Bobby) Dalton of Florida, Shirley (George) Maples of Cleveland, TN., many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church. She loved her husband, family, flowers and cooking for family and friends.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Dunn will be Sunday at 6 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 until 6 PM. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.

Mr. Harold C. Stewart, 78 of Chatsworth passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Stewart, and many brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife Lola Mae Stewart, daughters and son-in-law, Debbie Stewart of Chatsworth, Becky and Jeff Dyer of Chatsworth; step children, Bruce and Donna Mantooth of California, Christine and Thomas Bond of Calhoun, Billy Mantooth of Crandall, David Mantooth of Atlanta; brother, Norman Stewart of Blue Ridge; sisters, Glee Wright of Cleveland, TN, Thelma Davenport of Tifton, GA; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; extended family also survives.
Funeral services for Mr. Harold C. Stewart will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Carson Scarbrough officiating. Interment will follow in Fairy Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour.

She was born on September 24, 1931.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents, Troy & Pauline Isenhower; husband of 52 years, Claude B. Cox; son, Steve Cox; granddaughter, Pamela Cox; sisters Elizabeth Gowan, Lucy Beavers & Gwen Mashburn.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Alan & Rita Cox of Cohutta, Eddie & Rose Ann Cox of Dalton, Richard Cox of Crandall and Michael Cox of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl & Bobby Martin of Old Fort, TN, and Polly Cox of Crandall; adopted daughter and special caregiver, Nancy Allen; grandchildren, Karen & John Hedden, Billy Cox, Amy & Steve McKnight, Kenny Cox, Ryan Cox, Haley & Jordan Manley, Tiffany Martin, Cody Eaves, & Cody Martin; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive; caregiver, Missy Anderson.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cox will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.

Obituaries December 29, 2019Brother Lillard Stringer, age 84 of Tunnel Hill, departed this life Saturday, December 28th 2019 at his home.
His favorite things were preaching, singing, playing his guitar, and loving and worshipping God. He was a preacher of the Gospel for 56 years. He was the pastor of North Whitfield Missionary Baptist Church for 36 years. He was also pastor at Lindsey Memorial, Pine Hill and Rays Chapel. He was a member of the Faith Travelers and Southern Gospelaires.
He was preceded by his parents, Walter and Alta Stringer; brother, Billy Stringer; sister Janice Maddux; son, Dale Stringer; Best friend and Brother in Christ, Clyde Hyatt.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margie Stringer; sons Edwin and Michelle Stringer and Mac Stringer; daughters, Kathy and Jimmy Ballew and April and Jody Leslie; brother, Jimmy Stringer; Brother-in-Law, Earl Maddux; grandsons, Todd Poteet, Douglas Whitener, Shane Stringer, Harley Stringer, Blake Stringer, Kyle Stringer, Alex Stringer, Marvin McCormick, Nolan Poteet; granddaughters, Summer Plowman, Whitney Mills, Tori Johnson, Payton Poteet; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; long time school friend, Joe Worley,

Jerry J. Beeman: Obituary
Obituaries December 29, 2019Jerry J. Beeman, age 87 of Chatsworth, passed away Wednesday, December 25th 2019 in Hamilton Medical Center.
Jerry Joe Beeman, son of Marion George (Jack) and Dorothy Lucille Anderson Beeman, was born at Mercy Hospital in Elwood, Indiana. He is survived by his sister, Dianne (Beeman)Hines, Gaston, In., niece Sharon Hines, Gaston, In, nephew Jon Hines (wife Valerie), Yorktown, In; grand-nephew Brett Ellison; grand-nieces Heather, Rachel, Tessa Hines; Brother-in-law Robert J. Hines passed in 2018, niece Shirley Hines passed in 2009. Other survivors are Bob Anderson, cherished neighbor, Chatsworth, Ga and dear family/friends Randy and Brenda Creel and their children Brian, Kim, Kelly, Kristi and grandchildren, Chatsworth, Ga.
Jerry had ushered and was a faithful member of Chatsworth First United Methodists Church. He loved serving others as a “grandpa” to the young daughter of the owners of an Asian Restaurant, playing Santa, reading to children or as a helper filling bags with groceries for the hungry.
Jerry’s mother was a high school business teacher and the family moved frequently during the Depression to where she could find work. Jerry attended his first three years of school in Rockfield, IN. and his next year in Spencerville, In. He graduated from Gaston High School in Gaston, IN with the class of 1950. He then attended Ball State College (now Ball State University) in Muncie, IN where he was in a service fraternity, manager with the baseball team and a member of ROTC…After graduation he entered the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant stationed out of a Strategic Air Command in Texas.
During his civilian life he worked in the office of a meat packing company, taught school, was supervisor/manager for Mitchell Maintenance. He retired from Food Center in Chatsworth. Jerry was also “Man of the Year” in Murray County.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jerry Beeman will be 2:00 pm Sunday, December 29th 2019 from Chatsworth First United Methodist Church with Rev. Graham Arp officiating. Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Sunday, December 29th 2019 at Chatsworth First United Methodist Church.

Nancy Ruth Keener Stafford went to be with her Lord Sunday, December 22, 2019. She is the daughter of Beatrice and Rose Keener. Mrs. Stafford was greatly loved by all of her family. We take great comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband, Willie Stafford, who preceded her in death.
