Mr. Reuben Ray Miller, age 61, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at AdventHealth Murray.
Reuben was born on June 3, 1957 in Quincy, Illinois to the late Rufus Reuben Miller and Mary L. Briggs Miller.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford, Larry, Charley, and Danny Miller, and sisters, Betty Hartsock, Arlene Davis, Bonnie Broughton, and Mary Louise.
Survivors include his wife, Tamia Lee White Miller; daughter, Rebecca Lyn Miller of Chatsworth; granddaughters, Skyla Jade Miller of Chatsworth and Makayla Allen of Chatsworth; brother, Samuel Miller of Brandon, Florida; sisters, Julie Stephens of Sun City, Arizona, Darlene Von Thun of Palmyra, Missouri, and Eva Fae Shores of Shelbina, Missouri; and many dear extended family members.
Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour.

Deborah Jean Goode, 61 of Dalton, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Deborah was a member of Little Prospect Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going shopping.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Pullen and mother, Bessie Pullen.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Jaime Goode of Ringgold and Sean Goode of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Liz Pullen of Dalton; grandchildren, Kendall Goode and Bennett Goode; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Nathan, and Dixie Hawkins and Anthony, Chelsea, Bentley, and Bristol Pullen.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Deborah Jean Goode will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Keith James and Rev. Billy Ballew officiating. Interment will follow in Fairy Valley Cemetery.

Dyllon Hall, age 16, of Chatsworth, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers: Julia Shelton, Sheila Hammontree and grandfather Terry Gossett.
Survivors include his mother Jennifer Quinton and father: Mikey Hall, sisters and brothers in law: Ashley and Andrew Boatwright, Angel and Christopher Hall, Whittney Ellis, Kristen Quinton and Shelby Byrd, brothers; Daniel McBrayer, Jonathan Duckworth, Ethan Ellis and Travis Byrd. Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be Friday at 2 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Steve Champion officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 12 noon till the funeral hour at 2 pm.

Mr. Edd Parson, Jr., loving husband and father of four children, passed away at the age of 88 on February 3, 2019. Edd was born in his grandparents’ home in Chatsworth, GA on December 17, 1930 to Edd and Pearl (Chambers) Parson. On September 5, 1953, he married Edith Patterson. They raised a daughter and three sons.
Edd was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army. While in service, he was stationed in Germany. He cherished time sitting on the porch in the evenings with his family and friends talking over the day and about their lives. He also enjoyed traveling, restoring antique tractors, and airplanes. He enjoyed gospel singings and fellowship time with his friends and loved ones.
Edd was preceded in death by his father, Edd Parson, Sr., and his mother, Pearl (Chambers) Parson; sister, Jonnie Nicholson; nephew, Neil Setter, Jr.; and niece, Dawn Tanksley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Edith Parson; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Roger DeVaughn; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddy and Patty Parson, Ricky and Debby Parson, and Ben and Sharon Parson, all of Crandall; sister, Jeraldine Setter; grandchildren, Kelly and Johnny Ingram, Blake and Ashley Parson, Maria and Carl Taylor, Jamie Parson, Virginia and Alan Atkins, Hannah Parson, and Benjamin Parson; great-grandchildren, Lane Holsomback, Ella Keith, Asa Taylor, Alexis Parson, Landon Atkins, and Ava Atkins; nieces, Sonjua (Jack) Pritchett (son, Logan), Beverly Tanksley, (son, Derek) and Jeanne Carole (Kent) Suddeth (children, Emily and Evan); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas Patterson, Charles and Ruby Patterson, Grady and Rhonda Patterson, Wanda and Bill Webb, Bonnie and Ray Cavett, and Arlene Stevenson; and special friends, Linda Parson and Leon Caylor.

Marlar Lafayette (M. L.) Carpenter of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away January 22, 2019 in the Navicent Health Medical Center of Baldwin County, Milledgeville, Georgia. He was 97 years old.
He was born May 30, 1921 in Rabun County, Georgia to the late James and Ida Carpenter. The youngest of ten children, he was preceded in death by six brothers – Thomas, Jessie Lee, John, Fred, Carl and Lawrence – and three sisters – Evelyn Cannon, Esther Dills and Marjorie Robinson.
Surviving are his loving wife of 75 years, Geneva, and sons and daughters-in-law Kent Carpenter (Dorothy) of Milledgeville and Marc Carpenter (Penny) of Crandall. Also surviving are a grandson, Kell Carpenter (Melena) and great-granddaughter Kelsey, all of Milledgeville.
M. L. was raised in Rabun County. He graduated from Rabun Gap – Nacoochee School: High School in 1940, then Junior College in 1942. With World War II under way, he then joined the U. S. Navy. After completing Midshipmen’s School, he served honorably in the South Pacific through the end of the war. Afterwards, he remained in the Naval Reserve, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant in 1966.
He completed his formal education in 1949 when he earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Southern College of Pharmacy in Atlanta. He served his community as the owner and pharmacist of Carpenter’s Pharmacy in Chatsworth from 1951 through 1963. At a time when small-town pharmacies were few, often this meant long hours and late nights.
His dedication and love were given freely to his family and to his church, the First Baptist Church of Chatsworth. His entire life demonstrated his faith in, and love for, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family will receive visitors at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth on Saturday, January 26, 2019 beginning at 1 p.m. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m., then interment in Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Chatsworth.
