Mr. Harlan Milton Craig, age 72, of Marietta and formerly of Dalton, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Wellstar hospital in Kennestone.
He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Cleo Craig, brother: John “Jay” Craig, sister: Claudette Roden.
Mr. Craig is survived by his wife of 41 years: Betty Craig of the residence, children: Lou Ann Wilbanks of Nashville, TN., George Wilbanks of Crab Orchard, TN., Jessica Waggoner of Marietta, Michelle Dills of Dalton, grandchildren: Logan Wilbanks-Davidson, Maliki Ray, Aiden Dills, Kyleigh Waggoner, brother in law: Jim Roden, sister in law: Kathy Craig of Dalton and special pet: Luckie. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mr. Craig will be Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 1 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Jones officiating. Interment will be in Whitfield Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 until 9 PM at the funeral home.

WC White of Chatsworth, GA passed at home on Saturday, June 8, 2019 surrounded by family at the age of 85. WC and his wife, Jeanette, enjoyed their family and loved to travel. WC loved to shoot pool and was an avid sports fan. WC and Jeanette moved to Chatsworth from Macon, GA in 1970. WC worked for E&B Armstrong which later became Shaw Industries Plant 84 and is where he retired after many years of service.
WC was preceded in death by his spouse, Jeanette Davis White; son, WL White; parents, Luther and Josie White; great-granddaughter, Chelsie Hullender; brother, Luther “Bo” White; and sisters, Eloise Carter, Joyce Richards, and Doris Ard.
He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Larry Amerson, Vanessa and Lonnie Caldwell, and Carolyn and Reed Patterson – all of Chatsworth; grandchildren and their spouses, Melissa and Melvin Ray, Farrah and Rickey Mantooth, Jennifer and John Everett, Kelly and Heath Crowe, Dustin Patterson, and Jerry Patterson – all of Chatsworth; great-grandchildren, Melvin Ray, Jr., Mason Ray, Maddox Ray, Makenna Ray, Josie Slone, Paige Everett, Landan Everett, Ryleigh Everett, Caden Crowe, Kael Crowe, Kailyn Crowe, Haylee Patterson, Dylan Patterson, and Waylon Patterson – all of Chatsworth; sisters, Ruth Nobles of Cochran, GA and Joanne Still of Cartersville, GA; and many very special nieces, nephews, and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in Chatsworth, GA at Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held in Cochran, GA at Mathis Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 3:00 pm with Rev. John Everett officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carole (Joy Carolyn Smith) Epperson 76 yrs old, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at Murray Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Hollis, OK and raised in Dodson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Frank and Gertie Lynn (Grimes) Smith of Dodson, and later of Childress, TX., and great granddaughter Isabella Epperson. Carole was previously a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Tunnel Hill for many years, and later a member of Chatsworth Church of Christ.
Carole is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 58 years, Frank Richard Epperson of Chatsworth. Son and daughter in law, Frank Richard (Ricky) Epperson, JR and Carrie Epperson of Auburn, WA, daughter and daughter in law, Kathy Epperson and Carol Payne of Manassas, VA, daughter and son in law Kristy and Sam Satterfield of Chatsworth, GA. Her adoring grandchildren Frank Richard Epperson III and Tara, Christopher Allen Epperson, Chase Michael Epperson and Cori, of Anchorage, AK, and Jonathan James Epperson of Wichita Falls, TX, Cory Andrew Satterfield and fiancée Jocelyn Blair and Shelby Lynn Satterfield and fiancé Gage Mosteller of Chatsworth, GA, Megan, Allison and Alex Capps of Anchorage, AK. Great Grandchildren Kira Lynn, Liam, Quillan Epperson, Killian and Violet Epperson, ZOE, Zachary, Ethan, Ryan Epperson, Jaxson Cody Epperson. Sister and brother in law, Delores and Billy Bearden, and Mary Stout all of Dalton. Several nieces, nephews and cousins from Texas and Georgia. Special “sister” and cousin, Susan (Smith) Hamburger of Albuquerque, NM. Best friend Mary (Lemmons) Davidson of Amarillo, TX.
Carole graduated from Dodson H.S. in 1960 as Valedictorian. While attending Amarillo Business College, she met the love of her life, Airman First Class Frank R. Epperson of Dalton, GA stationed at Amarillo Air Station. She was an honored United States Air Force spouse for 22 years, taking her to many places stationed around the United States, and the world, living in Texas, California, Topeka, Kansas ,Zaragoza, Spain and Tucson, AZ, while later living in Saudi Arabia, while Frank was employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation International. Carol enjoyed watching her family participating in sports, visiting family, cooking, her dog Lexi, and attending church. She loved the Atlanta Braves and UGA football games.
Frank and Carole married and devoted themselves to their children, families and our Lord for 58 years together. Her bright smile and personality touched the lives of all she came in contact with.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 6th at 11am in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rod Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 6 till 9 pm.

Mr. David Michael Rogers, age 61, of Chatsworth, passed away at his residence on June 7, 2019.
Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his dad: Paul E Rogers, grandparents: Arvil & Maggie Rogers, Walter, and Louella Allen. He is survived by his mother: Bonnie Rogers, brother: Danny Rogers, sisters and brothers in law: Karen and Ricky Rymer, Donna and Ronnie Leonard, all of Chatsworth. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Jacob Rymer, Sarah Casey, Tyson, and Audra Leonard, great nieces and nephews: Nicholas Rymer, Hunter Rymer, Isla and Noah Casey.
The Funeral Service for David will be on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 2 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Ed. Kilgore officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Kilgore Cemetery. William “Bill” Holden

William “Bill” Lee Holden of Dalton, age 68, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Bill was born on September 19, 1950 to parents, Lula Jane (Jones) Martin and Leslie Gomer Holden in Copperhill, TN.
He attended West Fannin High School where he graduated in 1968. Bill married his wife and best friend, Rose Mary “Rosie” (Hawkins) Holden in Copperhill, TN in 1971. After living briefly in Marietta, Bill and Rosie relocated to Dalton in 1973 where Bill began his career in the construction industry. Bill owned and operated Bill Holden Construction, Inc. and became well-known in the area for his expertise in operating his 50-ton crane. Bill was an avid car collector and could often be seen driving around in one of the cars from his collection. He was very proud of his children and granddaughter and loved showing photos of them to all. Bill also enjoyed spending his weekends “over home” in McCaysville, working and visiting with family and friends. Bill’s sons are proud to continue his legacy in the construction industry by operating their dad’s cranes with the same precision that was characteristic of their dad.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Holden; father, Leslie G. Holden; and brother, Roger Holden.
Bill is survived by his mother, Lula Jane Martin; twin sons, Chase and Shane Holden of Dalton; son, Billy (Jennifer) Holden of Calhoun; granddaughter, Rosemary Holden; brother, Terry (Marilyn) Holden of Chatsworth; nephew, Jeremy Holden of Chatsworth; and many cousins and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Copperhill, TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Mrs. Parker was a member of the Cool Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and family trips.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Parker; parents, Bill & Lydia Hickey; grandson, Junior Parker; son-in-law, Randy Manis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph & Ruby Hickey, and S.L. & Ina Hickey; sister Ezma Hickey Tankersley.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin & Donna Parker and Wayne & Judy Parker – all of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Lela & Jimmy McCaslin of Chatsworth, Phyllis & Ralph Mooney of Chatsworth, and Donna & Smitty Mooney of Ellijay; brother-in-law, Bradley Tankersley of Chatsworth; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Beason and Rev. John Bagley officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Henry “Jeff” Hewitt, age 79, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Sampson Hewitt and his parents: Grady and Bertha Eaker Hewitt.

Mr. Leonard H. Thomas age 79 of Chatsworth passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
Leonard liked to hunt and go trout fishing. A member of Smyrna Baptist Church and Dalton Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents Gus and Laura Thomas, brother Bobby Thomas and two sisters Inez King and Ora Lee Gravley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Jane (Timms), Thomas. Children and spouses, Beth and Billy Scoggins, Chris Thomas and Renee Callaway all of Chatsworth. Granddaughter and spouse, Sarah and Gary Forrester of Chattanooga.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 2 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in The Smyrna Church Cemetery with Chatsworth American Legion Post 167 doing Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 10 am till 2 pm.
