Mrs. Rachel L. Stafford, age 86, of Cohutta passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was a member of Fairy Valley Baptist Church, a shopaholic, and a gifted gardener.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stafford; parents, Melvin and Vallie Pullen; brothers, Gene Pullen, Floyd Pullen, and Thomas Pullen; sisters, Lorene Dunn and Magdalene Cook; son-in-law, Tony Vining; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Bessie Pullen, Hazel Pullen, and Barney Gallman; and niece and nephews, Deb Goode, Lamar Dunn, and Gary Pullen.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Terrie Stafford of Varnell and Ronnie and Janice Stafford of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Betty and Ray Plemons of Dalton and Barbara Vining of Dalton; brothers and sister-in-law, Howard Pullen of Chatsworth and James and Debbie Pullen of Crandall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy and Robert Mantooth of Crandall, Mary Lou Gallman of Chatsworth, Minnie Ruth and Billy Ballew of Chatsworth, and Ann and Jerry Flood of Chatsworth; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and several dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2019 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Ballew officiating. Interment will follow in Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
