Ruth Gibson

Ruth Marie Jeske Gibson, age 87, of Chatsworth passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Billie Gibson; father, Ewald Theodore Jeske; mother, Bertha Marie Polster Jeske; brothers, Raymond and Roy Jeske; sisters, Nola Lane and Ida Wood; grandson, Cliff Mitchell; and great-granddaughter, Cassandra Lewis.

Ruth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray Gibson of Chatsworth, John and Sarah Gibson of Chatsworth, David and Katherine Gibson of Benton, AR, Sam and Bev Gibson of Chatsworth, and Daniel and Redia Gibson of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Lewis of Dalton and Patricia and Jerry Mitchell of Chatsworth; sister, Gladys Smith of Athens, GA; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gibson will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Ray and Mr. Dan Sluder officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm.
