Will Dee “Nanny” Buchanan

October 01, 1927 – January 22, 2019

Will Dee “Nanny” Buchanan, age 91, of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lake and Hattie Mantooth; daughter, Tammy Buchanan; sons, Billy Buchanan and Buster Buchanan; daughters-in-law, Mary Keith and Shirley Keith; grandsons, Robert Keith and Ryan Pell; and special friend, Jake Sampson.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Keith of Dalton, Nick Keith of Cleveland, TN, Doug and Reba Qualls of Cleveland, TN, Jim Buchanan of LaFayette, and Lynn Buchanan of LaFayette; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie Qualls of Dalton, Sammy White of Dalton, and Diane and Holbert Pell of LaFayette; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Lucy Mantooth of Chatsworth and Charles Mantooth of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Nick Keith, Jr., Erika Keith, Eric Keith, Brandi Keith, Blake Adkins, Hollie Fain, Jansen White, Tiffany Pell, Kayla Dean, Amy Buchanan, Crystal Cribb, Wendy Buchanan, Lori Buchanan, and Natasha Qualls; 18-plus great-grandchildren; and special friend, Trenna Mathis.

The family especially wishes to acknowledge Matt and Hollie Fain for the excellent care that they provided.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Blake Adkins, Holbert Pell, Brandon Paulson, Matt Fain, Nick Keith, Jr., and Jansen White will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

The family will accept flowers or donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
