Will Democrats Filibuster Supreme Court Nominee Neil Gorsuch’s Confirmation?

Featured, Politics

At least 30 Democrat Senators support filibustering Gorsuch, 2 oppose the filibuster and 16 are undecided. The 2 Democrats opposing filibuster are Heidi Heitkamp (ND) and Joe Manchin (WV). It takes 60 votes in the Senate to bring the issue up for a simple majority vote. As Senate Majority Leader (D) Harry Reid changed the Senate rules to confirm Federal Judges to a simple majority, meaning 51 votes are needed to pass. This is known as the Nuclear Option.

Questions surround now Majority Leader (R) Mitch McConnell whether he will allow the Democrats to filibuster Gorsuch or institute the Nuclear Option. The Nuclear Option has never been used to approve a Supreme Court Justice. Gorsuch’s confirmation vote is set for April 7th.

Senator David Perdue Discusses Immigration Latest On Fox News & ABC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) spoke with Trish Regan on Fox News Channel’s Sunday Morning Futures and George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This Week about recent meetings at the White House to fix the legal immigration system.

Highlights from Sunday Morning Futures

Negotiating A Deal: “The President has been very clear that any solution to DACA must include border security, including the wall, an end to chain migration, and an end to the visa lottery. Last week, we had two meetings at the White House. President Trump is very engaged on this issue, just like he was on tax. I’m hopeful we can get symmetry in this negotiation. In my business experience, that’s how you get to a deal and I still think there is a possibility to do that.”

Double Talk From Democrats: “It’s a gross distraction from the issue. Senators Schumer and Durbin both talked about ending parts of chain migration on the Senate floor. We’re doing things that the Democrats have voted for and have supported in the past. Under Bill Clinton in the 90s, we had a Presidential Commission actually recommend limiting chain migration and recommend moving to a merit-based immigration system based on who you are and not where you are from. The problem now is politics. That’s what’s so frustrating to all of us.”

Focusing The Scope: “Congress has failed three times in the last 11 years to fix the immigration system because they’ve been too comprehensive and tried to solve the legal problem, the temporary work visa problem, and the illegal immigration problem at the same time. What we’re doing now is limiting this debate to just the legal immigration system and I believe we can get to a solution.”

President’s Agenda Is Working: “If this were any other president getting the results that we’re getting right now in the economy, we would be crowing about the results. Two million new jobs created last year, 860 rules and regulations pulled back, 500 bureaucrats fired at the VA for non-performance, 300 fired in the Department of Education, consumer confidence is at a 17-year high, CEO confidence is at a 20-year high, 123 companies decided to give year-end bonuses because of our action on tax. This economy is beginning to move and what we have to do now is focus on immigration, infrastructure, and trade to keep moving the economy forward.”

Responding To Hawaii: “I don’t know the details of that yet, but it just heightens the fact that somebody made a mistake somewhere. As a member of the Armed Services Committee, I can assure you that we’ll get to the bottom of that.”

Highlights from This Week

Solving DACA: “The problem is Washington career politicians who just want to pander to their base. What we have right now is a gross misrepresentation of a meeting from Thursday. Two days earlier, the President held an hour-long open meeting with the media where Democrats and Republicans from both the House and Senate debated the issue. We want to solve the DACA problem. We want border security with a wall. We want to end chain migration and the visa lottery. That’s the scope we all agreed on Tuesday.”

Record Of Misrepresenting: “In 2013, Senator Durbin made the same allegation against a Republican leader in a meeting with President Obama, saying he chewed out the president and that this Republican leader was so disrespectful to President Obama they couldn’t even have the meeting. That’s what he said that in 2013. Later that day, President Obama’s own press secretary came out and said, ‘it did not happen.’ This is about a gross misrepresentation, and it’s not the first time.”

Current Negotiation Parameters: “We’re focusing on four things. The President has been consistent all along about what he wants in an immigration deal. I have been consistent. Senator Cotton has been consistent. Any deal on DACA has to include border security, including a wall, and the end to chain migration. That’s been consistent for the past year.”

Short Takes – Assumptions

Opinion

Assumptions

One must ask why it is assumed that the logical candidate to replace a conservative office holder, must be a Democrat? The plethora of campaign appeals from loser Democratic PAC’s, for donations to combat those dangerous, misguided Republicans, claim in the text of their appeals, that Trumps election was an aberration and that American’s really demand that Democrats be returned to power because that awful Trump is so divisive & etc., etc.!

Well, no, they assume incorrectly! The vote for Donald Trump signaled the beginning of the end of official criminality, Obama’s terrible legacy and, expectantly, an end to the Democrats Marxist-Socialist experiment in collectivist government.

The Left ignores the reasoning that got them in their present unhappy circumstance in the first place. The voters didn’t want a third Obama term. The voters didn’t want that crooked Hillary Clinton screwing up America any more and, Americans really expect justice to be served for her crimes. Americans once assumed the FBI could be trusted implicitly. The Clinton’s ruined all that. The FBI is now wreathed in controversy, infested with Clinton partisans and politically, stand on the wrong side of Constitutionality earning the same level of trustworthiness as aluminum siding or Obamacare salesmen. Once lost, trust cannot be reinstated without pain.

The Left is mounting an all out assault on Donald Trump on their assumption that his Presidency is illegitimate. But the underlying issues that motivated voters to elect Trump are ignored.  Americans don’t want to share bathrooms with perverts. Americans are sick and tired of illegal alien intruders breaking into our country, protected by Renegade Cities and murdering Americans on the streets with impunity. That includes Islam. Americans are dismayed by the stupid Liberals driving our government into unbearable debt. Americans are saddened by the less than adequate quality of graduates being turned out by Commie infested colleges and universities and Americans are exhausted from the tax burden that pays for everything except our national defense. They’re tired of unaffordable healthcare and being told they had to buy it regardless. All that is what the Democrats did to us and will do to us again in the future if Donald Trump fails. Now why would they assume we could possibly want democrats in power again? Their message is the same one they’ve used for decades and it still rings hollow!

Americans voted for Donald Trump because he promised solutions and, ‘surprise,’ he’s delivering. The Left is going berserk trying to change the results of the election that gave us Donald Trump. We’ve had nearly a year of Progressive generated crisis’s all centered around a fake Democrat created narrative about Trump and the Russians, ignoring greedy Clinton’s own collusion evidence with the Russians. Nothing was proved, yet it’s still droning on. So, why do Democrats assume that we would even tolerate them in office any more? Do you?

The Democrat Party is leaderless. The only solid front presented to us in the Congress is when the aging and demented Nancy Pelosi and the feckless Chuck Schumer grab the podium and spew out their fear mongering claims that Republican policies will lead to Armageddon, ‘women and children to be hardest hit.’ What’s to replace the ranks of geriatric Democrat leadership in the future? Anarchists, Islamics, and antifa’s, all now learning their trade on our streets today, like the Clintons did back in the 1960’s. Now is the time to stick a fork in ‘em. They’re done or should be. Sadly, Republicans won’t do it. They’re still afraid of wielding the power we gave ‘em.

Short Takes – The Roy Moore Affair

Opinion

I take no side on Roy Moore except to recognize an organized plot to disenfranchise Alabama voters by the Elite DC Swamp dwellers. Whatever happens to Roy Moore is the concern of the voters of Alabama alone, not Mitch McConnell. If he wins he must be seated. Senate rules or not, it is not the ”Elite” establishments role to kill the Senatorial choice of the voters of Alabama simply because Roy Moore is an ultra conservative and not one of them.

The array of females accusing Moore of predatory sexual offenses in years gone by, standing alongside ultra feminist lawyer Gloria Alred, is proof enough that the whole tawdry thing is another orchestrated coup attempt against Trumps administration in favor of maintaining the status quo of the DC  swamp dwellers. It’s a full court press against our Constitution too.

Sean Hannity, fearing that his earlier interview of Roy Moore tended to exculpate the Judge, in light of the phony school yearbook business shows him in a bad light, has demanded that Judge Moore clarify his position, immediately, in view of the damming new information of the old signature in the yearbook trick. Just who the hell is Hannity to demand such a thing?

I still have my high school senior yearbook from 1957. It is filled with pro forma signatures of fellow students, of both sexes, wishing me good luck in the future and all that stuff. And I did the same. Looking at some of these names today, I don’t remember many of the people who signed my book except those with whom I grew up with from elementary, through Junior High to High school. For the others, from other school systems, I cannot even now, know what our relationship was or why they were interested in my future. But, their names are there.

Roy Moore matriculated through Alabama politics, as a Christian and a Democrat all the way to Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court without ever being accused of anything but being a Christian. He stayed there until the evil forces of Marxism contested his decision to maintain the “Opiate of the Working Class”, a visual stone monument of the Ten Commandments, on State property. The anti-Christ’s went berserk, forcing an unelected board of Christian haters to remove the judge from his chair. Could they actually do that without a criminal charge?

The people of Alabama elected Moore to the Alabama Supreme Court, not an unelected board of weaklings bowing to the grinding forces that demand the separation of Church and State, to remove him. Now, Roy Moore, as the Republican candidate for Alabama’s junior Senator, a true believer in the Constitution as it was intended to be applied, not as the Left want’s us to believe it should be applied, is the target of a scurrilous attack against his character and his Christianity.

As a career criminal investigator, I still haven’t heard that any of those women, not one who have stepped forward to demean judge Moore, have been deposed under oath. To the Left, it makes no difference though because the alleged crimes, long past their shelf life, still sells so the charges just hang out there as truths. I don’t believe it for one minute.

It is unfortunate for Judge Moore at the moment, that Left wing Democrat men, DC and Hollywood types alike, are being sucked into the vortex of sexual crimes against women, with evidence, just at the time the establishment politicians are trying to defend their swamp from Conservatives like Roy Moore. What a splendid opportunity for the left to add the Judge in there, which is exactly what they are doing. Lumping Moore into the class of perverts like the Democrats are riddled with, is disgusting. Think of Bill Clinton, Al Franken and Robert Menendez. It’s the dirty politics we’ve been expecting and being ratcheted up to full volume.

Can Gun Violence Be Controlled?

Opinion

Can Gun Violence be Controlled?

This business about free Americans owning guns, it seems, is not going away. The overwrought, dysfunctional left simply won’t let it go using any opportunity to try to seize our guns. “Never let a crisis go to waste” has long been their motto. The Las Vegas massacre is the current issue they hang their hats on to pursue their primary objective, the total disarming of America, the 2nd Amendment be damned. “People are dying by guns; only total confiscation can stop the carnage; nullify the 2nd Amendment, etc. & etc….”

The Las Vegas shooting is still on the minds of most Americans and will be for awhile because it involved guns in the hands of a white male. As no connection to any conservative group has been reported by the media, it therefore follows that the Mandalay shooter must have been a registered Democrat. If he wasn’t, the Alt-media would have never let us forget it.

To the “Left” guns, legally in the hands of free, independent Americans, is the worst possible thing that they can imagine. But, crime statistics do not support the Left’s claims of a vast count of criminal deaths by guns. No matter, because statistics that do not support their positions are irrelevant, lies made up by the NRA. One third of all gun deaths are suicides. Most of the rest are murders in Chicago, Baltimore, LA, and other urban centers of cultural enlightenment.

The rush to legislate guns by ignorant politicians, exclusively Democrats, constitutes their perennial assault on our Constitution, especially the 2nd amendment. The 2nd Amendment gives American citizens the right to possess firearms. The Left contends that our Founders simply could not foresee advancements in modern technology. They claimed that arguments today about why the Founders considered gun possession as a right enshrined in the Bill of Rights, don’t apply by today’s standards. Nonsense! They apply because of today’s standards.

In Colonial America, citizens had to have guns to defend themselves as well as provide meat for the table. The founders knew government couldn’t defend citizens from robbers, thieves and hostile Indians. Governments charge was, and still is, to defend America from foreign attack. Otherwise, you’re basically on your own. So, what’s changed?

What they do not consider is that while firearms existed in the 1700’s and on, so did vehicle’s, hammers, hatchets and axes. It was the black powder gun and the horse drawn wagon that experienced a rapid change by technology but, it was only firearms that were protected by the Constitution as an “inalienable right.” Vehicles hatchets, and hammers were not. Why?

How many murders are occurring today using vehicles? Enough to give us pause when we go out, yet there is no outrage from the Left. More people are murdered yearly with hammers than are killed by guns. Should the left demand that government totally confiscate hammers?

What’s is not seen in our press are the almost daily reports of murderous atrocities committed by Islamic Jihadists against host country citizens throughout Europe, and even here in America and Canada, using knives, cars and home made bombs.

Are Americans becoming immune to gun violence? Can we trust Government to protect us when we need them, like ‘right now’ for instance? We know the answer to that. Of course not. So, keep your guns clean, keep ‘em oiled and keep ‘em legal. The “Left”, they are out to get us!

Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (06Oct17)

Short Takes – Transportation Woes

Opinion

Transportation Woes

Leave it to the media to anathematize Trump and Conservatism using any issues that flies by.

The media has become so unscrewed by their hatred of President Trump that, like the NFL, they don’t really see or understand what they are continuing to do to themselves, further tarnish their credibility and diminish their brand name. Now it’s private airplane flights by Tom Price, H&HS Secretary, doing his job that they are attacking. I don’t care.

That Sec. Price used, or had to use, a private conveyance to do his job is a symptom of a problem, not the problem. He asked for and received permission to book his flights so I don’t understand the media’s outrage. The media didn’t express outrage when our Royal Princess, Nancy Pelosi demanded and got, befitting her elitist station, a large Air Force plane to convey her back and forth non-stop to San Francisco every week when she was House Speaker. The media didn’t go berserk when Attorney General Loretta Lynch secretly booked a private plane for her flight to Arizona where incidentally, she accidentally met former president Bill Clinton, also there in his private airplane, to discuss golf and grandchildren. By the way, she doesn’t play golf and has no grandchildren.

The dysfunctional but Progressively obedient media fended off complaints when Obama flew to Hawaii aboard his presidential yacht, a huge fuel consuming 747 costing millions, several times a year not to mention all the other pleasure and campaign flights he took in it. The eight year bill for his highness’s pleasure must have been stupendous but nobody in the media was outraged. Clearly, to do so would have been racist. For Tom Price, it’s “white privilege.”

We haven’t heard one word about the private travel expenses of Obama’s many Czar’s, Department Secretaries, administrators and etc. during the eight years of gracious living they all enjoyed but, one Trump official doing his job, using the most expedient method to do so, and the Leftist media goes completely berserk.

For the media their problem remains. They can sling all the offal their dirty little hands can hold against the wall but nothing sticks because nobody believes ‘em anymore. In fact, nobody really cares because American’s voted in Donald Trump as President and no attack against him, coming from the media’s organs of Leftist propaganda, even from the rear against his appointees, is going to change that.

Every department in the Federal Govt. has a Transportation office. It’s sole reason to exist is to find the least expensive mode of transportation for government officials needing do their job in the most expeditious manner possible. Mostly, almost exclusively in fact, US Commercial Carriers are used for that purpose. Abroad, foreign carriers are authorized as needed.

In order to get that authorization for government travel, temporary duty (TDY) orders have to be cut authorizing the expense, including overnight accommodations. If the overnight is spent on a military installation, including Aircraft Carriers at sea, it still costs money and must be budgeted for. Nothing is free and nobody gets a free ride. It only has to be justified.

Travel expenses are all budgeted a year or more in advance and usually causes no problems. Upon completion of the travel, the official traveler submits a detailed expense voucher, with receipts as necessary, detailing the travel and the expense involved. In the case of Tom Price, some aide is responsible for this task. I used the term TDY, and that’s military jargon so I don’t know exactly how H&HS does it, but, there are only so many dollars budgeted per year for travel and it must be accounted for. The Mean Stream Media doesn’t report those little details. I have no clue how the Obama administration and Hillary did it, but I suspect like everything else they touch, some skullduggery was involved. It’s just a job. The media should get over it.

Dent Retirement a Sign of Trump Wave in ‘18?

Politics, State & National
FetchYourNews

Amidst all the talk among Democrats and the Media that the Trump election and presidency is a one off that will soon be remedied by a Democrat wave — there is actually evidence to suggest that just the opposite will ring true in 2018. For example, look at upstart Pennsylvania Congressional candidate Justin Simmons, who is running to be the GOP nominee in the 15th District. Simmons, 31, currently represents PA State House District 131 and was planning to mount a Conservative challenge to seven term incumbent Rep. Charlie Dent in the Spring 2018 Primary. That was until Dent abruptly announced his retirement, opening the door for 35 year old Ryan Mackenzie to enter the now open race, a race that could prove to be a battle between conflicting wings of the Republican Party.

Simmons recently called in to FYNTV’s Good Morning from the Office for an exclusive interview regarding his initial decision to run, the surprise of Dent’s retirement, and the differences between himself and Mackenzie.

Simmons made it clear from the beginning that his motivation to run was the dissatisfaction among Conservatives in the 15th District with Dent, as evidenced by the recent rally in protest of the seven term Congressman. According to Simmons, “just his voting record alone is bad enough… then going on MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times… being the go to Republican to rip Donald Trump and Conservatives,” had angered voters in the district won by both Donald Trump and Charlie Dent. However, Dent had spoken out aggressively against Trump during the campaign, refusing to endorse him and frequently criticizing him after his inauguration.

“I was never fully on board with Charlie, I always knew he was pro-choice and supported taxpayer funded abortion… but he was fiscally Conservative at first,” said Simmons, adding “as time went on he just got more Liberal.”

The news of Dent’s sudden announcement to retire was a surprise to the Simmons team, although he insists they were “ecstatic” and this it was a “victory” because it creates a chance to elect a Conservative representative. However, it has created a brand new dynamic with the entry of Mackenzie, setting up a race described by The Morning Call as a “Hatfield’s and McCoy’s race” between what they described as two longtime rivals. Although Simmons dismissed the “Hatfield’s and McCoy’s” comparison he did elaborate on what he sees as the differences between him and the only other declared candidate.

Ryan and I have worked together on a lot of good issues. The difference between Ryan and I, is Ryan is establishment and I am not. I got my foray into politics by taking on a Liberal Republican, I took on the party and I took on the establishment. Ryan Mackenzie, he came into politics, his Dad was the former chair of the party, he was very connected. When he first ran for State House in the 134th District… there was a special election and the party hierarchy greased the skids for Ryan, they cleared the field in the special election for him, he hasn’t had an opponent since.

Simmons also described Mackenzie as Charlie Dent’s hand picked successor, which means he will be the beneficiary of the PA GOP fundraising network. However, Simmons described it as a negative because it means Mackenzie would be beholden to the moderate Republican structure of the state party and not the Trump Coalition that delivered PA to a Republican presidential candidate for the first time in a generation.

This race will be one of many that pits establishment Republicans against the new, Trump Republicans. In his recent interview with 60 Minutes, former White House strategist Steve Bannon made clear his intentions to target establishment Republicans in the 2018 Primary races. This has already manifested itself in races like the special election for Senate in Alabama, where incumbent Sen. Luther Strange was leading in polling until Bannon endorsed his opponent, former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court Roy Moore.

What’s more, the race in Pennsylvania will pit two millennial candidates, Mackenzie is 35 and Simmons is 31.

Congressman Collins Votes to Repeal Obamacare, Sending Health Bill to Senate

Featured, Politics

WASHINGTON—The House today passed H.R. 1628, the American Health Care Act(AHCA). The bill repeals the individual and employer mandates of 2010’s Affordable Care Act as well as $1 trillion in Obamacare taxes.

Congressman Doug Collins (R-Ga.) released the following statement in response to the bill’s passage:

“For seven years, I have watched Obamacare afflict my neighbors with soaring insurance costs and narrowing health care options. Obamacare shattered the insurance market, and Americans now struggle first to afford insurance and then to find providers that accept it.

“Obamacare saddled businesses and individuals with mandates that robbed them of their freedom to choose health care options that make sense for them. Our families, our workers and our economy have born the weight of bureaucratized medicine for too long. The American Health Care Act removes that burden and demands compassion for both the healthy and vulnerable, the born and the unborn.

“I have seen the grief that Obamacare has brought to northeast Georgians and have worked for my entire tenure in Congress to repeal this destructive law. Republicans promised to repeal Obamacare, and the House voted to keep that promise today. I agree with the President’s call this week for us to repeal Obamacare now, and I look forward to the Senate’s getting to work on this crucial bill.”

Additionally, this legislation returns to states the flexibility they need to serve their communities. The AHCA provides more generous Medicaid reimbursements for elderly and disabled enrollees while Obamacare prioritized able-bodied individuals over disabled Americans by assigning proportionately more Medicaid dollars to the healthy. It establishes a federal invisible risk sharing program to stabilize insurance markets, lower premiums and protect individuals with pre-existing conditions.

The AHCA represents the first major entitlement reform in U.S. history by ending Medicaid’s expansion while shoring up the program for the disabled and elderly Americans it was meant to serve.

This legislation also defunds Planned Parenthood.

Republicans Better Address Health Care, Tax Reform, and Build a Wall or Risk Losing The House in 2018

Featured, Politics

Does the thought of Nancy Pelosi once again being Speaker of the House terrify you? After the failed attempt to repeal and replace Obama Care the American people put health care squarely on the shoulders of the Republicans. Republicans will need to pass health care, tax reform and fund the construction of a wall on our southern border. April 18th we will find out how much trouble the Republicans may be in with voters. That’s election day in the 6th Congressional District of Georgia. Democrats need 24 seats to take over The House. If their candidate, Jon Ossoff, wins that may put in motion what Democrats hope to be 23 more seats in 2018.

There are 435 seats in The House of Representatives. See the statistics of past years below:

– 2004 –

  • Republicans: 232
  • Democrats: 202

A difference of 30 seats.

-2006-

  • Democrats: 233
  • Republicans: 202

The Democrats won 31 seats and took control.

-2008-

President Obama was elected.

  • Democrats: 257
  • Republicans: 178

The Democrats won another 21 seats.

-2010-

Republicans take back control.

  • Republicans: 242
  • Democrats: 193

The Republicans increased 63 seats. This was the largest single shift in an election cycle.

-2012-

  • Republicans: 234
  • Democrats: 201

The Republicans lost 8 seats.

-2014-

  • Republicans: 247
  • Democrats: 188

The Republicans gained 13 seats.

-2016-

  • Republicans: 241
  • Democrats: 194

The Republicans lost 6 seats.

24 seats is what the Democrats need to take back over control.

Short Takes – A Divided America, What’s the Cure?

Opinion

America has long been divided by two contending political philosophies, one created in the firm belief in the god given rights of man through self determination and possession of private property, among others, the inalienable anchors of representative freedoms. The other, a scheme that clings to the Marxist inspired idea that people would be happier when embraced by the comforting arms of a collectivist, benevolent government, in the guise of the Democrat Party.

Into the midst of this conflict of ideas, stepped the most totally corrupt entity to ever enter American politics, the Clintons, man and wife, neither Marxists or Constitutionalists but criminals singularly dedicated to exploiting political divisions for their own self-aggrandizement. Their vehicle to wealth accumulation, power and corruption was through America’s political process.

America’s ill’s will never ever heal until Americans are assured at last, that the entire apparatus of the Clinton’s odious pay to play, personal wealth grabbing, political corrupting, self aggrandizing, treasonous machine is dismantled and she, her husband and all their acolytes stand in the dock to account for their crimes. Only then, will we know the cure has started.

The political struggle has been going on for decades with Socialist-Marxism in the ascendency, until Donald Trump. Trump hasn’t been scheming for years to be President, but is a total newcomer to the governing process because he had finally arrived at his own breaking point. Trump saw that Americas conversion into Socialism was near total and irrevocable. It was his trigger to believe the instauration of American politics was required and he could do it.

So, what does it mean to be a Republican then? Until Trump, absolutely nothing! Republicans, long wanderers in the political wilderness, bought into the socialists agenda for so long that capitulation was considered the norm. No debate, no arguments, just go the Democrats way. The word “bipartisanship” camouflages the exploitative nature of conflicting powers allegedly governing together. Republicans constantly fumbled aways their voters desires to keep America great. They were enjoying their “bipartisanship” and the rewards that came with it. Their greatest trick, as the cliche goes: was their ability to “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.“ Until Trump!

Trump’s not a Republican and definitely not a Marxist but he’s a wealth creating businessman, a capitalist who convinced us he had the skills to Make America Great Again. He knows how to negotiate and the problems left us from eight years of Obama’s amateurish leadership, his inherent weaknesses and policies of appeasement, is being challenged face on and renegotiated to the screams and laminations of the spavined Democrat party.

Trump came as a champion. Americans, awakened by the Leftist threat, but lacking leadership and not knowing how to confront it, organized into ’quaint’ political groups, were quickly derided by the media and Deep State practitioners of elitism. The result, victory of conservatism in three successive national elections pushing the Democrat party into near oblivion.

The Republicans are starting to do what we have long wanted and what Trump is pushing them to do: expect political success in the face of tough resistance. Lacking an effective strategy for defeating the Democrats, without being pushed from behind, is slowing the process. Americans are resilient, slow to anger but fierce when pushed. The Democrats plotting against Americans in favor of illegals proves they are morally bankrupt and lack any vision to see America as Americans want it. The changes will be painful but in the end, America will be great again.

Remember, Freedom is thew goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em!

Short Takes – The Blame Game

Opinion

The Blame Game

The few times the US government has shut down in past couple of decades, the Republicans have been blamed. Why? Because the Democrats said so. Now, the Democrats, even in their minority demand a DACA resolution favorable to them before any budget deal to finance the government can proceed. Why is that? We kicked the Democrats, indeed the whole corrupt Democrat political machine out of any authority, over three successive election cycles. I reckon we’ve got it all. Let’s use it. Why are we still afraid to do something positive?

The Schumer Shutdown represents the epitome of Democratic playbook antics that have for years stymied Republican efforts to have a Constitutional Government instead of a corrupt one. Why? Schumer still believes he can hang this on Trump and the Republicans. Historically, Republicans, fearful of legislative combat with the Democrats, have always caved lest they be called racists and bigots..….until Donald Trump.

Democrat hypocrisy is often cited but the word “Hypocrite,” when flung at Democrats has no poison in it because Democrats refuse to react to it. Too, most voters who dwell happily in the in the Democrat sheepfold don’t know what it means anyway. Republicans need to use different words like liars, cheats and thieves. Everybody knows those words because that’s exactly what the Democrat party is, a collection of liars, cheats and thieves. “Dickie” Durban is the most recent prime example of one of these creatures, not to neglect Chuckie Schumer himself.

Republican politicians, at least those that hide their principles by calling themselves “moderates” or “compassionate conservatives,“ are deathly afraid of being accused of racism or bigotry, an accusation the Leftist media is always happy to promote. So, for years, the US government has been guided by the systemic ‘fear’ that has enabled the Socialist agenda.

08 November, 2016 should have ended all that, yet here we are, our legislators in a deadlock with a corrupt minority party over government funding because an unconstitutional, illegal, Executive Order, is considered by them to have the rule of law when it does not. The consequences are enormous for the rule of law, a return to which is essential if we are to help Trump Make America Great again. Tea Parties, take notice.

To ignore the Constitution for so many years, as the Democrats have done, appears to have become the ‘norm’ instead of the exceptional method of running a government. Now a conservative leader is standing up to the Democrats and their socialist agenda and the Republicans can’t seem to get a handle on how to move forward. Good ol’ Harry Reid showed us the way.

If the Republicans want to get moving, do as Harry Reid did, eliminate the senate 60 vote filibuster rule and get on with making America Great Again. I remind Republicans, that Democrats are the minority and should stay that way forever. As for filibuster, if fairness is all that important, than require the Senators, in fact, to stand in the well and filibuster. Then the whole country will know where their Senator really stands.

In their minority, obstructionism is the only tool Democrats have left. Trump is dismantling their years of hard work to drag America firmly into the Socialist camp and ultimately the One World Order scheme. The Democrats love of Marxist-Socialist dogma remains a continuing threat to a Constitutional America. It’s time to move on no matter how painful it might be.

Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (21Jan18)

That Gun Argument Again

That Gun Argument Again…

Good ol’ Sen. Diane Feinstein (D- Ca). She can always be counted on to reveal the obvious. On Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press, she said: “the U.S. is a “gun happy country,…“and I think there are many of us in growing numbers that don’t want a gun-happy country.” Of course she’s wrong but was referring to the annual deaths of Americans by gun fire. She could have said the US is a gun-savvy country but that wouldn’t have fit the Progressive narrative needed to disarm all American, to protect us from gun violence, a la Las Vegas.

Last weeks mass murder in Las Vegas, by a deranged, white millionaire gunman who shot himself to death before his apprehension, gave the anti-self-defense and anti-second amendment crowd another platform of self-serving outrage to attack our Constitution.

Let’s change one word in her sentence and see where that goes: “The U.S. is a car happy country…and I think there are many of us in growing numbers who don’t want a car happy country.” Or, “The US is a hammer-happy Country…etc. & etc.” I substitute cars and hammers because these two inanimate objects account for more killings in America  than guns do.

The Progressives, like Diane Feinstein, a multi-millionaire, can hire gun toting bodyguards to safeguard her person but, that’s really only from attempts at assassinations. Most Americans are subject to the sudden armed assault on the mean streets of America, or home invasions, or attempts at car-jacking from mall parking lots. These people need to defend themselves.

One third of all gun deaths in America, apart from the body count occasioned by the Las Vegas murders, are suicides. More people are killed in domestic assaults by hammers than guns and the score racked up by vehicles, jihadists included, outpaces them all.

So, why the assault specifically against firearms and not hammers and cars? All three are inanimate objects. All three require a human being to actuate them and all three are capable of killing, yet it is only the firearm, the possession of which is specifically permitted to Americans, as enshrined in the 2d Amendment, yet still stands as a horror to Progressive politicians.

The Anti-gunners argue that hammers and cars are needed daily by society to grow and guns are not. And there they miss the big picture. Society is growing and as it does it generates its own class of citizens who do not wish to participate. They won’t swing a hammer, or buy a car but they’ll go out of their way to possess a gun. What does a street creep want with a gun  except to intimidate others, steal from them the rewards of their labor and leave a trail of dead bodies. Why do Progressives, like Diane Feinstein, want to deny Americans their right to self-defense from such predators?

Worse, the Founders clearly foresaw the dangers of Progressive governments, human nature being what it is, growing into a totalitarian state that, to defend itself, threatens all citizens. They foresaw the indispensable right of those citizens to especially be able to defend themselves from government despotism. And that’s what scares the hell out of Diane Feinstein, et. al..

One statistic I have omitted but is available for confirmation is, that thus far, all the mass shooting outrages committed in the USA, since Columbine, have been committed by either committed Liberals or registered Democrats. Therefore, the logical answer is to prohibit Democrats from owning firearms. Simple, isn’t it?  Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now go get ‘em! (10Oct1)
