Ann Stevens Kaduk

Ann Stevens Kaduk, age 69 of Chatsworth passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at her residence.

Ann was born February 14, 1949 in Morgantown, West Virginia, to the late Robert and Sara Stevens.

She attended Morgantown High School and later received a BS in psychology and a Masters in Child Development and Family Relations from WVU. She taught school at Chatsworth Elementary and Northwest Elementary in Murray County before moving and teaching in Milledgeville for over 20 years.

Ann loved painting, square dancing and traveling. She taught Sunday school at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dalton and was a member at Saint Toribio Romo Catholic Church in Chatsworth.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Kaduk of Chatsworth; three children, John Kaduk of Roswell, Robert Kaduk of Milledgeville, and Sarah Payne of Armuchee; as well as four grandchildren, Cadence, Trevor, Chloe, and Dominic; three sisters, Robbie Calvert of Culman, Alabama, Lois Nunan of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Lou Chafin of Alum Creek, West Virginia.

Memorial visitation will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Pleasant Grove Promenaders Square Dance Club, in care of Ray and Deb Roy, P.O. Box 3969, Dalton 30720.

Mr. Kenneth Roy Ramsey age 72 of Rocky Face passed away Friday, October 26, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Fannie Ramsey, brother E. W. Ramsey and a sister Barbara Stancill.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Shannon and Kristy Ramsey of Dalton, Shane and Natalie Ramsey of Conyers. Grandchildren, Madalyn, Megan, Caleb, Colby, Caden, Colton, and Cross Ramsey.

Memorial Services will be Sunday at 4 pm at the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Marty Green officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday 2 till 4 pm.

Mr. Michael David Hight, 48 of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his residence.

Michael enjoyed collecting Knives and old coins.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Jeanette Sosebee; grandparents, John and Marvis Hight, and Grover Cooper; grandmother, Lucille Kilgore.

Survivors include his daughter, Keela Hight of Chatsworth; parents, Johnny and Joyce Hight of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Jennifer Hight of Chatsworth; sister, Lisa Rymer of Chatsworth; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael David Hight will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

David Michael Weaver, age 65, of Chatsworth passed away on October 24, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Weaver; parents, Ralph and Ina Ruth Weaver; brother, Steven Weaver; sister, Shelia Weaver; grandfather, Robert “Bob” Weaver; and grandmother, Mamie Lou Weaver Fouts.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, David Michael, Jr. and Amy Weaver of Dug Gap; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Gayle and Nathan Duckett of Chatsworth; brothers and sister-in-law, Dan and Dora Weaver of Eton and Jeffrey Weaver of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Billy Witherow of Eton; grandchildren, Matthew Duckett, Chad and Tanessa Duckett, and Benjamin Weaver; and several dear extended family members.

Mr. John Henry Jackson, age 27, of Chattanooga, TN., passed away suddenly Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. John Henry Murry.

Survivors include his mother: Dr. Deidre Pierce of Chatsworth, GA., and father: Steven Jackson of Bristol, TN, sister: Hannah Jackson, formerly of Kingsport, TN., now of Boston, MA.  Other family members include grandmother: Naomi S. Mr. Billy Joe White Sr, age 57, of Chatsworth, was born on September 13, 1961, parted this life on June 3, 2019, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Mary Anita Quarles, age 81 of Tunnel Hill, passed away Monday, March 4th 2019 in Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “J.T.” Quarles; father, Harmon Anderson Smith; mother, Clarinda “Clara” Seay Smith; brothers, Hillard “H.A.” Smith and Bradley “Billy” Smith; sisters, Mandy “Virginia” Crider Sane and Dorothy Jane Smith; and a great-grandchild.

She is survived by sons, Charlie Sisson, James “Michael” Quarles, Ricky Quarles, and Larry Quarles; daughters, Donna Sisson Young and DeAnna Quarles Peal; sister, Edna Smith Green; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Anita Quarles will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 6th 2019 from Dogwood Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremiah Quarles officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwood Valley Cemetery.

Mr. Keith Martin “Simon” Hutchins, age 81, of Crandall passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home.

He was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lynley Mead Hutchins; mother, Nina Fern Eastman Hutchins; son, Randall Hutchins; twin brother, Kay Hutchins; and brother, Dana Hutchins.

Survivors include his wife, Gennie Hansird Hutchins; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael & Angie Young of Rocky Face and Jeffrey Young of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Angela Collen & Eddie Lucas of Byhalia, Ohio and Angel Patterson of Chatsworth; sister, Bonnie Lou Taylor of Ohio; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Hutchins will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bowen and Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Military rites by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.

Mr. Rondal Douglas Barrett, age 74, of Dalton, passed away on February 8, 2019, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Ron was born on January 24, 1945, in Dalton to the late James Clyde and Veta Kay Barrett. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, J.C. Barrett, Truett Barrett, Donald Barrett, Betty Keeler, and Barbara Clover.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Barrett, son and wife, Chris and Holly Barrett; grandchildren, Canaan, and Ashton Barrett; foster grandchild, Ashton Rylie; sister and brother in law, Nellie and Leonard Suggs, several nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 2 pm at United Memorial Gardens.

Mr. James “Bud” Plemons, age 91, of Crandall, passed away on February 6, 2019 in Hamilton Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. Charlie and Pearl Plemons, son: David Plemons, daughter: Diane Plemons.

Mr. Plemons is survived by his wife of 73 years: Mary Plemons of the residence, son and daughter in law: Ricky and D D. Plemons of Crandall, grandchildren: Brian Sitton, Missy Smith, Jody Frazier, Richey Plemons and LaKeisha Plemons, great-grandchildren: Jacob, McKayla, Noah, Brody, Jordan, Taylor, Cadence, Grayson and Nico. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Service for Mr. Plemons will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 11 am, in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Green officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richey Plemons, Jody Frazier, Brian Sitton, McKayla Smith, Steven Smith and Jordan Frazier . The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
