6th District Candidate (R) Karen Handel Releases Campaign Video Going After (D) Jon Ossoff

Politics

The failed American Health Care Act just changed the entire GA 6th Congressional District race. Karen Handel releases a very good campaign video going after John Ossoff but can Republicans promise to stop Nancy Pelosi’s agenda? And that they are the party that can deliver? Although Handel’s campaign video may have the right message, it may be the wrong time. #BKP explains how the failed bill may be a gift to Ossoff and leaves Republican candidates scrambling to decide which side of the Republican party they are on. Three strikes and the Republican party could lose the House.

Will Charlie Dent Retire clearing the way for Republican Establishment Candidate Ryan Mackenzie?

Featured, Politics

Last week Pennsylvania 15th District Congressman Charlie Dent announced he would not seek an 8th term. One thing Dent did not say in his announcement is if he would complete his current term.

L-R  Mackenzie -Simmons

Just days before Dent’s announcement PA State Rep from the 131st District, Justin Simmons,  announced he would challenge Dent for the 15th District seat.

The day after Dent’s announcement PA State Rep from the 134th District,  Ryan Mackenzie,  threw his hat into the race. Sources tell FYN that Mackenzie was with Dent the night before Dent made his announcement.

Mackenzie is being called Dent’s hand picked candidate. In an interview with FYN  Simmons said Mackenzie is a part of the state establishment, the Republican establishment candidate. Simmons had the nerve to oppose Dent.  We can’t find any information which indicates Mackenzie was prepared to oppose Dent before Dent announced he would not run.

Remember Dent did not say he would complete his term. Sources tell FYN Dent plans to retire. If he retires the voters won’t get a chance to pick the next 15th District Republican candidate through the primary process. The Governor will call for a special election. The voters will lose their voice.

Five counties make up the District; Lehigh County,  Berks County, Dauphin County , Lebanon County and Northampton County.

Pictured L-R Lehigh County Rep Chairman Jess Banotai, Berks County Rep Chairman Joe Rudderow, Dauphin County Rep Chairman Dave Feidt, Lebanon County Rep Chairman Casey Long, & Northampton County Rep Chairman Lee Snover.

The Republican County Chairman “Party Bosses” from each county will pick Delegates. These Delegates will then vote for their candidate to run against a Democrat candidate. The Democrats have the same process.

Sources tell FYN that the cards are stacked in favor for Mackenzie and if Dent retires he will most likely become the Republican Candidate.

Dent is a liberal Republican who has opposed President Trump at every turn. Dent finds every TV camera he can in order to say something negative about President Trump. Darlin’ Charlie Dent reminds many PA Republican of Darlin’ Arlen Specter. Dent is the Co-Chair of the liberal Republican Tuesday Group.

The PA Republican establishment must remember,  without the support of Senator Pat Toomey or Charlie Dent,  Donald Trump won Pennsylvania. So without votes from Trump supporters the 15th District could easily go to a Democrat.

Could Dent be preparing for a run for Governor?

We called Dent to ask him if he is retiring.

(R) Karen Handel Endorsed by “Reach Across the Aisle” Former (R) Senator Saxby Chambliss

Featured, Politics

Former GA Senator Saxby Chambliss has endorsed Karen Handel in the 6th District Congressional race. Chambliss chose to retire from US Senate in 2014. Many feel this was due to moderate votes and willingness to work with Democrats made him too vulnerable for re-election in 2014.

Senator David Perdue, who won Chambliss’ seat in 2014, has endorsed Dan Mooney for the 6th District Congressional race. During Perdue’s campaign he referred to himself as the true outsider in the race. Perdue early on supported Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Handel was one of Perdue’s opponents in the Senate race which Perdue ultimately went on to win. So, if Perdue is a conservative and Saxby was a moderate at best; you pick which candidate will go to D.C. and most emulate the Senator who endorsed them.

6th. Congressional District, Special Election Sparks National Interests

Election, Politics

If you thought that 17 Republican candidates made for an interesting race in the 2016 presidential election, then you’re most likely looking forward to the latest updates on the special election for the US Congressional Representative of Georgia’s Sixth District, which takes place on April 18th. There are officially 18 candidates qualified to succeed Tom Price for the seat of the Sixth District.

tom price

HHS Secretary Tom Price

Price recently resigned ensuing his nomination by President Donald Trump as the US Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). After all Democrats from the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee boycotted the election of Price, the vote was then taken to the Senate Floor where Price won in a 52-47 vote.

Similar to the election of Price for the HHS, the special election for the Sixth District will be contentious, highly influential and debated among many. The 18 candidates running to succeed Price, include; 11 Republicans, 5 Democrats and 2 independents.

Republican candidates include Amy Kremer, Bob Gray, Bruce LeVell, Dan Moody, David Abroms, Judson Hill, Karen Handel, Keith Grawert, Kurt Wilson, Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan and William Llop.

Amy Kremer has evident entrepreneurial and leadership skills. She openly supports President Trump. Kremer and Jewelry Exchange CEO, William Doddrige, established a pro-Trump super PAC, Great America PAC. Kremer is also the former chairwoman of National Tea Party Organization, the Tea Party Express.

Bob Gray is an international businessman and investor in technology, and is on the board of directors of Ammacore, a network solutions company based in Alpharetta. Gray is a well rounded individual; he is familiar with service, he is a savvy businessman and he is a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Bruce LeVell is an entrepreneur; he owns Dunwoody Diamonds USA and LeVell Properties LLC. He also has political experience, as he is the former chair of the Gwinnett County Republican Party. LeVell supports the President; he served as the Executive Director of Trump’s National Diversity Coalition and was a delegate for the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC)

David Abroms, business excutive. FYN can not locate information on Abroms at this time.

Dan Moody has military, leadership, business and political experience. He served in the US Army after graduating college and marrying his wife, Stephanie. Moody knows how to climb up the ladder to success. After the Army Moody began working at a corporation, that he later purchased after the owner’s retirement. Now that he has retired from running his small business, served on the State Transportation Board and co-founded a non-profit organization; he is ready to serve the State Government as a strongly Conservative individual.

Judson Hill presents impressive qualifications for the Sixth District seat. He was elected into Senate in 2004, and is currently a small business owner. Hill is a well-known Conservative that feels strongly about the opposition of higher taxes and government regulations. He feels passionate about a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution, in order to control overspending in Washington. According to his campaign site Hill proudly upholds family values, liberty and limited government, and he openly defends our First and Second Amendments. It is reported on his website that he is a promising candidate for a bright future in DC.

According to Karen Handel’s campaign site, she supports Conservative values and wants to fight for the people of the Sixth District. Handel was Senior Vice President of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and left after the Organization defunded then refunded Planned Parenthood. Handel has also served as GA’s Secretary of State. Before completing her term as Secretary of State, Handel ran on the Republican ticket for the Governor of GA against winner, Nathan Deal. Most recently, she ran for the US Senate after the seat was left open by Senator Saxby Chambliss’ retirement; and that seat was won by David Perdue.

Keith Grawert is an Air Force Pilot that seeks to restore public service in the public office. Grawert strongly supports US defenses and believes in the phrase, “peace through strength.” On his campaign site, Grawert expresses concern about improving the system of taxes, US international power and the replacement of Obamacare.

Kurt Wilson is a small business owner that is expressively tired of the rhetoric in Washington. He wishes to empower a government serving its people. Wilson specifically seeks to push forth an amendment for term limits in Congress.

Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan is the first Muslim Republican candidate for US Congress. Although it may seem unusual, Bhuiyan could be the first Muslim congressional candidate taking oath with the Quran. He is a small business owner, academic administrator, professor, and economist.  He moved to the US in 1986 to continue his education at GA State University. Atlanta Business Chronicle named Mohammad Ali as one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans in 2014.

William Llop is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with offices in Sandy Springs and Macon; and he has worked in tax and finance affairs for businesses and individuals all over the US. Further, Llop vows to work to defend the Constitution, secure the border and limit government spending.

Democratic candidates include Jon Ossoff, Ragin Edwards, Rebecca Quigg, Richard Keatley and Ron Slotin.

According to his campaign site, Jon Ossoff wants to send a clear message to the US that Trump does not represent his people’s values. Ossoff is publically endorsed by US Representatives, John Lewis and Hank Johnson. Lewis is the Congressional Representative for GA’s Fifth District. Johnson is the Congressional Representative for GA’s Fourth District. Ossoff has served as a congressional aide for over five years and has first hand experience in crafting legislation.

Ragin Edwards calls herself, “The Candidate with No Strings Attached.” She supports the regulation of education and healthcare on the federal level. On her campaign site, Edwards states, “We must work to make healthcare affordable for all Americans.” Edwards also expresses that she supports US innovation in technology.

Rebecca Quigg expresses openly that her number one priority is healthcare by way of upholding Obamacare. Quigg believes that Congress must work to improve Obamacare above all. She also states that she will work toward legislation to create debt-free tuition at public universities and colleges.

Richard Keatley is a veteran, educator and not a career politician. His campaign slogan is, “running for change.” He has served in the Navy and states that he will protect our veterans. He will also work for debt free public college.

Ron Slotin has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, government and international business. He is currently the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at BrightWell Talent. Slotin stated, “I will work to help solve metro Atlanta’s traffic problems, support our public schools and protect our environment.”

Independent candidates include Alexander Hernandez and Andre Pollard. It will be interesting to know with which party each candidate will choose to caucus.

Alexander Hernandez is one of only two Independents, and explains that he is running as an Independent because he believes he appeals to citizens across the political spectrum. He wants to save Medicare, give servicemen a raise, rebuild our country’s infrastructure and create jobs.

Andre Pollard is an Independent candidate as well. According to his campaign site, he seeks to promote, “more women in technology… more inner city youths in technology… the American brand worldwide… start ups and small businesses… affordable health care…’ Pollard has no prior political experience, but is immensely passionate on growing the technical workforce in the Sixth District.

Inevitably, the special election of the Sixth District is potentially a nationally influential and the race will spark debate across the nation. As the race progresses and election day approaches, the excitement and tension will only rise.

Rural America is Still in Trump’s Corner & Talk of Russia has Decreased in the MSM

Politics

As always Friday is the day of fun for us at FYN. The All-Star Political Panel meets up to discuss the latest political issues and news. This week one of the main topics was the Georgia 6th Congressional District special election between (R) Karen Handel and (D) Jon Ossoff. Karen Handel came out as the victor in this race despite concerns of the amount of money raised by the Dems to help Ossoff. Many of the polls predicted Ossoff in the lead however they did not account for the “fear factor” as BKP calls it. Hear his explanation of this and his reasoning for this in this segment. They also discussed the Comey investigation and how Russia is not the main topic you hear in the main stream media this week. If you are interested in being on the All-Star Panel feel free to join us at Sycamore Crossing around 8:45 every Friday Morning.

Karen Handel Welcomes Trump to Campaign with Her in the 6th District

Politics

(R) Karen Handel seems to be doing exactly what is necessary to get out the Republican vote in the 6th district. (D) Jon Ossoff has to spend the next two months convincing the Democrats just to go back to the polls. On the other hand Handel has to get every registered Republican vote she can; regardless of who they voted for last week or in the Presidential primary election. Within the next two months it won’t be hard to bump into a well known Republican in the 6th district. Handel has received endorsements from almost every single Republican. From her one time rival Governor Nathan Deal to what some consider controversial President Donald Trump.

BKP questioned last week what Karen Handel would do concerning Donald Trump voters. Would she embrace President Trump during her campaign or listen to the media and turn down the possibility to campaign with The President?

During an interview on CNN, Handel shared her conversation with The President stating “He just called to say congrats and encourage me and let me know as we go into June 20, it’s all hands on deck for Republicans.” When asked if she thought Mr. Trump might come down and campaign with her, Handel responded, “I would hope so,” adding, “I don’t think this is about any one person.”

The 6th Congressional district race could set the tone for the 2018 midterms. For Republicans the 6th district will look like a real “who’s who.” But who will the Democrats send to help Jon Ossoff in this important race; Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, or maybe even Maxine Waters.

Republicans Never Learn – (D) Jon Ossoff Almost Flipped the GA 6th District

Politics

Will (R) Karen Handel embrace or distance herself from President Donald Trump? Will Trump voters come out and vote for Karen Handel? How hard will Dan Moody, Judson Hill, and Bob Gray work to convince their voters to vote for Karen Handel? If Fulton County is the Republican stronghold of the district then why did Ossoff get 41,269 votes? Ossoff received almost as many votes in Fulton County as Gray, Handel and Moody combined. Donald Trump is President of the United States because he did not used the “Republican Playbook.” By using the playbook the Republicans almost lost the 6th district. When will Republicans learn to throw the playbook out the window – Trump style?

If Jon Ossoff Loses the Election, You Can’t Say the Media Didn’t Try to Help

Politics

A runoff seems to be certain in the GA 6th Congressionaldistrict special election to replace HHS Secretary Tom Price, taking place today. Democrat Jon Ossoff looks msnbcto be guaranteed one of the runoff spots; the second spot will be left open to Republican Dan Moody, Karen Handel, or Bob Gray. If you are tired of all of the commercials and think they will end tonight… Think again. There will be just as many commercials but now it will be narrowed down to just two candidates. So get ready ready for another two months of political campaign ads, because election day is June 20th.

If Ossoff wins at least 40 % of the vote tonight there is a good chance that he will be able to win the election in June to become the new Congressman of the GA 6th. A runoff election is generally won by the opponent that can get their voters back to the polls. Just like most sports; the team that has the momentum wins. It is going to be questionable as to whether the Republicans can coalesce and change the momentum of the game.Jason McCarter- 6th district Republican that voted for Jon Ossoff

If Democrats just take the voter role from tonight, with the amount of money they have coming in nation wide; they will be able to do anything necessary to get the voters back to the polls on June 20th. If the top Republican is only in the area of 20% of the vote tonight they have the challenge of getting that 20% back to the polls in addition to the margin needed to win from the Republicans they ran against. If Karen Handel is the front runner can you really see Bob Gray, Judson Hill, Dan Moody and the rest of the Republicans out begging their voters to return to the polls. BKP sees them half heartedly endorsing her, but not aggressively working for her campaign.

Ossoff has many media outlets to thank for their media coveratrump pollsge, not to mention this morning’s MSNBC’s 15 minute Ossoff infomercial. Morning Joe and Mika Brzezinski spent about 15 minutes talking about President Donald Trump’s poor polling numbers. BKP strongly believes the poor polling report was to lead the voters of the 6th district to believe the country is turning on President Donald Trump. They continued by telling their audience that in less than 100 days of his presidency the American people have tuned him out. That gave Mika a perfect segway into, “Up next: A special election that could spell trouble for the GOP.”

MSNBC’s Political Correspondent, Casey Hunt, proceeded with what we consider a Jon Ossoff infomercial. Hunt dedicated only about 15 seconds of her report to Republicans Bob Gray and Karen Handel. Hunt was even able to find, in her non-biased reporting, a Republican in the district that voted for Jon Ossoff. Republicans go into every election already behind one strike knowing the media is against them.

In today’s segment BKP reminds people of the late Andrew Breitbart’sOssoff, Lewis, and Johnson comments concerning Congressman John Lewis – “The orchestrated lie.” President Donald Trump had the nerve to call John Lewis a liar. Republicans never want to offend anybody, want to play the middle of the road, and know how to lose an election. BKP is concerned that Republicans attacking Ossoff’s youth and fondness for Star Wars, may have been non-beneficial. Did Republicans miss how Star Wars is to all age groups? Maybe Republicans don’t remember a college keg party? REALLY… Democrats are organized. If they win the 6th district, the next stop is winning The House, and the grand finale will be redistricting in 2021. A must watch segment. Republicans beware… This may be offensive… Because it’s the truth!
