Kailen Osby Adams: Obituary
Obituaries September 29, 2019
Our sweet Kailen Osby Adams, age 26, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She is now pain free and in the presence of the King. Kailen was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She loved so many and was loved by so many more.
Kailen graduated Murray County High School in 2011. Afterwards, she began her career with Murray County E-911. Kailen was a dedicated communications officer, helping to preserve life, limb and property of the citizens and emergency responders of Murray County.
Two years ago, after bravely battling brain cancer for the 2nd time in her life, Kailen retained her employment with Murray Co 911. Through pure determination and hard work she had to relearn even the simplest of basic life skills all over again. She came back to work with few limitations to a career she truly loved. Kailen went on to be an instrumental and valuable part of the training team and helped to successfully train others in emergency communications. This is truly a loss felt not only throughout the 911 department, but also the entire public safety community. In the tradition of saving lives as she has done countless times in her career, her final act in this life was that of helping and serving others by being an organ donor.
Kailen joins her maternal grand parents, Carl and Carolyn (Singleton) Ballew in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Tyler Adams and two beautiful daughters, Chandler and Baleigh Adams; parents Daniel and Karen (Kaye) Ballew Osby, brother Matt (Tyler) Osby and sisters Emmali Osby and Carley Osby all of Chatsworth; Grandparents Margie (Southerland) and Bobby Tate; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Kenzie Walston, Melissa Walston, Tiffany Keener and Missy Bingiel.

Ruby Ellis: Obituary
Obituaries September 17, 2019
Our precious, beautiful mother, Ruby Ellis, age 90, was called to her Heavenly home Saturday, September 14, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. It’s not goodbye sweet mother, we will meet again one day in Heaven – on that glad reunion day.
She was a lifelong resident of Chatsworth, GA. She loved the Lord, and her family more than anything. What she lacked in formal education she more than made up for with her creativity; she was a woman of many talents. She was a fantastic award winning cook, as well as a talented seamstress, quilter and crafter. She was also a gifted artist, floral designer, and author. Her book of inspirational children’s stories, ANIMAL MAGIC, was self-published in 2004. In the spring/summer, she could always be found outdoors working in her yard. If you knew our mother, you’d know that there was very little she couldn’t do, and anything she attempted, she did well. She played the piano by ear, and had a beautiful alto voice. She sang in gospel quartets for many years, and could always be found lifting up her voice in the church choir. She was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church and also attended Eton Baptist Church for several years. She was an inspiration to many, and was dearly loved by all who knew her. We will miss her more than words can say.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Ellis who passed in 1989; her parents, Rev. Tom and Leatha Goswick; brothers, Gene (Nannie) Goswick, Troy (Ethel) Goswick, and Rev. Fletcher (Edna) Goswick; and a sister Marie (Charley) Whaley.
She is survived by her son Marshall Ellis and his companion Rachel Elrod of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jim Jones of NC, and Kay and Collian Jackson of Chatsworth; granddaughter Wendy (Shawn) Fowler of Crandall; grandsons, Andy (Jenna) Holt of NC, and Blake Jackson of Massachusetts; great-grandsons, Drake and Lane Fowler of Crandall; and great-granddaughters, Abby Fowler of Crandall and Avery Holt of NC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ellis will be held in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Green officiating, and eulogy provided by Blake Jackson. Pallbearers will be Drake Fowler, Shawn Fowler, Anthony Goswick, Andy Holt, Blake Jackson and Kevin Whaley. Interment will follow in the Center Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Peeples Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
