Pauletta Faye Walters Crisp, age 73, of LaFayette, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her daughters and loved ones.

Pauletta loved cooking, traveling, watching Braves baseball, and going to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Acie & Pauline Walters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Cameron Blake & Lanie Crisp of Connelly Springs, NC; daughters and son-in-law, Kay & Richard Hooper of LaFayette and Kim Crisp of Pelham, AL; grandchildren, Kyle Andrew Dana, Sarah Kymberly Dana, and Katie Elizabeth Cain – all of LaFayette; former husband, Buddy Crisp of Chatsworth; sisters and brother-in-law, Pat & Leroy Faulknor of Malta, TX and Betty Casey of Chatsworth; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other dear extended family members.

Pauletta was preceded in death by treasured family and friends, but she is also survived by many more treasured friends that have become like family. Too many to mention by name, but you all know who you are. Pauletta blessed many lives. She was a wonderful cook and shared her talent with many people when she had her restaurant, Mom’s Cafe. She was selfless, kind, and was always willing to help anyone. She loved to have many people gathered around her table. Her family and friends were her love and joy. She was known to her grandchildren, and many others, as Nana. Nana taught us many things on her journey, the most important of which was courage and love. Words cannot express how much she was loved and how much she will be missed.

Funeral services for Ms. Crisp will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2016 from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Eton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:30 pm until the funeral hour.
