Mrs. Velma Jean Silvers, age 77,  of Chatsworth, passed away on January 4, 2016 in Hamilton Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Lester and Lucille (Gentry) Williams, and a sister Juanita Bramblett,

She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Silvers, daughters: Patsy Hall and Vickie Sloan, brother and sister in law:: Herman & Teresa Williams, sisters and brothers in law: Thelma and Tommy Preavette, Edna and Johnny Shipman, Betty and Alan Chadwick and Joyce Green,  grandchildren: Tracy and Shanda Sloan, Justin and Vanessa Sloan, Dustin Sloan, Jason Hall and  Chrissy Ayers , 6 great grandchildren, several neices, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Silvers will be held at 1 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 until 9 pm.  Interment will be in United Memorial Gardens.
