Cathy Jo Griffin, age 63 of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, July 25th 2018 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Johnnie Griffin.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Melinda Griffin and Pete Griffin; sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Lane Arthur; nieces, Kayla Griffin, Madison Elliott, and Darby Amos.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Cathy Jo Griffin will be 4:00 pm Sunday, July 29th 2018 for Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Tenney officiating.

Mr. David “The Sockman” Alley, Sr. age 74 of Crandall, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Gordon County Health & Rehab.
Mr. Alley was a member of Pathway Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting and knitting machines.
Mr. Alley was preceded in death by his father, AB Alley; mother, Hazel McGowan.
Survivors include wife, Barbara Alley of Crandall; son and daughter-in-law, David Lee Alley, Jr. (Lynn) of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Lee Jones of Chatsworth, and Shannon Smith (Rev. Mark) of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Vanessa Sutton, Scarlett Weeks, Keisha Hamilton, Amber Majors, Josh Smith, Holden Smith, and Destiny Alley; great-grandchildren, Blake Walden, Noah Walden, Levi Majors, and Kinsley Majors; aunts; uncles.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Alley will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Smith and Pastor Hanram Mohan officiating. Interment will follow in the Parkers Gap Cemetery in Ooltewah, TN.

Mr. Jerry Anthony “Tony” Casey age 54 of Chatsworth passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Erlanger Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Casey, and father, Jerry Casey.
Survivors include his spouse, Teresa Casey of Chatsworth, children, and spouses, Jason and Haley Casey of Canton, Ashley and Joey Goswick of Dalton.
Grandchildren, Taylor Casey, Mason Casey and Alexis Goswick. SisterTina Ledford of Maryville, TN. Nieces Brittany and Miranda McGinnis, several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Obituaries May 9, 2018Mrs. Teresa Ann Rider Karn, age 63, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at her daughter’s residence with her family by her side. Her passing followed an extended illness.
Teresa was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was born on January 3, 1955 to the late John Henry and Marian Beasley Rider. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Debbie Miller and niece Roxie Aders. Teresa was a loving mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Nana Barbie” by her grandchildren. Nothing brought a greater smile to her face than her seeing her precious great grandbabies. Teresa loved to watch Family Feud and NASCAR on TV with her family. She attended The Torch Worship Center, formally Dahlonega Church of God, until her health would not allow her to do so.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law Lisa and Tim Bottoms, Dawsonville; daughter Brandy “Dana” Payne, Athens; son Sean Condrella, Dahlonega; grandchildren Zachary Sheffield, Chesney Bottoms, Hank and Emily Bottoms, and Madison Payne; great grandchildren Rayleigh Sheffield, Aliah Sheffield, and Lola Bottoms; sister and brother in law Patsy and Clarence Cantrell, Dahlonega; brother in law Brian Miller, Calhoun; special aunt Louella Head, Dahlonega; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the chapel of Banister Funeral Home. The Rev. James Lemley and the Rev. Ken Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Jacob Kyle Turner Sr, age 33, of Chatsworth, passed away peacefully at home in Reliance, TN, surrounded by his family on April 25, 2018, after a lifelong battle with congenital heart disease. He was a 2004 graduate of Murray County High School and studied Elementary Education at Dalton State College. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Dawnville.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Sonny and Betsy Welch.
He is survived by children: Jacob Kyle Turner, Jr., Jase Lane Turner and Jaylin Turner, father and step-mother: Tim and Karen Turner, mother and step-father: Suzanne and Daryll Talley, brothers: Jeremy Turner and Greg Barmore, sister: Stephanie Guinn, grandparents: James and Roberta Turner, Robert and Lora Shoemaker.
