He is preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Patricia Sturges.

Survivors include his wife: Sara Sturges of Calhoun, children: Callie Nelson, Alec Truelove and Lucy Truelove, seven granddaughters, brother: Elton Sturges of PA. and one sister, Rachel Rue of PA.
