Mrs. Rebekah Ann Skidmore, 78 of Dalton formerly of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at her residence.

Rebekah was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Edwin Ray Blackwell; parents W.H. and Sarah Walraven; sisters, Lorraine Walraven, Agnes Thomason, Mary Hall, Willie Bell Parker; brother, John Walraven.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Cheryl Blackwell of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Lynn Elkins of Dalton, Tena and Terry Ray of Tunnel Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Oliver and Althea Walraven of Chatsworth; sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Benton of Calhoun, Gladys and Junior Ingle of Dalton; grandchildren, Tonya Kornacki, Justin Elkins, Kevin Blackwell, Meagan Blackwell, April Root, Joshua Ray, Anthony Ray; great-grandchildren, Briaunna Kornacki, Amelia Root, Evelyn Root, Nathaniel Root, Anderson Ray, Tucker Ray, Easton Ray, and Samuel Ray.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rebekah Ann Skidmore will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Carnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Dogwood Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
