MURRAY COUNTY, Ga – Georgia State Patrol (GSP) looking for a car that allegedly led to the death of a young couple on Wednesday, July 29.

Tommy Nickels, 19, and wife Kristen Nickels, 20, were tragically killed after their vehicle wrecked on Highway 411 near Hooker Road. The evening wreck is actively being investigated by the GSP because of the supposed involvement of another car.

A witness told law enforcement that another vehicle repeatedly rammed the red Mustang from behind. Once the road went from a four-lane to a three-lane, the car ran alongside the Mustang and hit it again.

The Mustang spun off the road and flipped on the passenger side. It then hit a tree and flipped upright. Debris from the accident hit a nearby home, but no injuries resulted from that instance.

The witness described the car’s driver as a white man with dark hair. Surveillance footage identified the car as a silver Chevrolet Optra.

If anyone has any information about this accident, please contact law enforcement.
