Mrs. Hazel Ruth Mayo, 93 of Dalton, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Ridgewood Manor.

She was a member of Cross Pointe Christian Centre.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William (Bill) Mayo, Sr; parents, Dewey and Nellie McCarty; brother, Joe McCarty; sister-in-law, Marion McCarty; daughter-in-law, Janice Mayo.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Charles William Mayo, Jr. and Lillian Mayo of Fayetteville, TN, Steven D. Mayo of Conyers; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Don Asbell of Dalton; grandchildren, Lisa Asbell O’Neal, Mark and Shawna Asbell, Matthew and Kristen Asbell, Sheila and Kevin Day, Angela and John Brint, and Carlos Saenz III; eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hazel Ruth Mayo will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Mayo Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point, Mississippi.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
