Mr. Furman Norris age 75 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday January 9, 2017.

Mr. Norris was a loving husband, father, grandfather and retired pastor of the United Methodist Church. His ministries included, pastor of the Blythe FUMC, Friendship UMC, South Bend UMC, Associate Pastor of Gainesville FUMC, Blairsville FUMC, Ebenezer UMC and Chatsworth FUMC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Lynn Norris.

Survivors include, wife, Bettie Norris, Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Gina Norris, Duluth, GA; grandson, Jacob Norris, Gainesville, GA; sister, Sybil Jones, Milton, GA; sister-in-law, Reba Jones, Newnan, GA; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Jim Catoe, Loganville, GA, Ashley and Ryan Paden, Milton, Stacy and Gary Cerasoli, Newnan, GA.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Norris will be held Thursday January 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chatsworth First United Methodist Church with Mr. Clint Black, Rev. Tamlyn Collins and Mr. Al Scruggs officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Chatsworth First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mr. Furman Norris.
