Obituaries November 21, 2016
Mrs. Ina Marie Sluder, age 90, of Chatsworth passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Murray Medical Center.
She was born on August 25, 1926 in Tennga.
“Miss Ina” came to Chatsworth at the age of 19. Recently widowed and with two children under the age of three to support. She found employment at a small business which made mattresses. She and her sister shared a large house just a short distance north of the Wright Hotel. She was able to cross the street to her work and saved on taxi fare. World War II was in progress and many things were rationed but she cared well for her little family. When she was 21 years old she married Clyde Sluder; together they raised a family in Chatsworth. She lived in the same community on North Fourth Avenue for over 63 years. She has many of the neighbors left who stayed in the community. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and proved it by being a servant to all. She was very honest and fair in her dealings with everyone and loved with such compassion and devotion. The community was indeed blessed to have this precious lady living and serving in their midst. “Miss Ina” is leaving a legacy that will be an example for many. Her life brought great joy to her and all who knew her. She will not be forgotten!
