Mrs. Edith M. Tankersley age 92, of Chatsworth, passed away Friday November 18, 2016.

Mrs. Tankersley was a member of the Cool Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Loretta Moore; brothers, Asberry and Jack Moore; sisters, Mary England, Lavada Crowe and Viola Walker.

Survivors include, husband of 70 years, Robert Tankersley, Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Gail Tankersley, Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Sonny Green, Chatsworth; grandchildren, Spencer Green, Adam and Ian Tankersley; great-grandchildren, Ella Kate, Natalie, Claire, Lincoln and Megan Tankersley; nieces; nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tankersley will be held Sunday November 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Beason officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
