Mr. Eugene Long: Obituary
Obituaries October 21, 2016
Mr. Eugene Long, age 69 of Chatsworth, made his final trip through the heavenly gates on October 21, 2016, surrounded by family at Redmond Hospital. We imagine that he is entering into the gates of Heaven telling a story that would have Peter laughing, strolling and humming a tune, playing practical jokes on loved ones gone on before, and giving directions to angels about how to navigate the roads nearby in case they ever get lost.
Mr. Long was a member of the Eton Masonic Lodge #509 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Gladys Long; sister, Linda Faye.
Survivors include, wife of 46 years, Emma Jean Wilbanks Long, Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Becky Long, Dublin, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and John Alday, Chatsworth, Joella and Andy Jones, Chatsworth; brothers and sister-in-law, James Long, Chatsworth, Donnie and Kathy Atchley Long, Crandall; grandchildren, Ashley and Blake Langford, David Capehart, Hillary and Buddy Williams, Courtney Long, Colby Long, Tyson Farmer and Jennifer Fowler; great-grandchildren, Brayden Capehart, Emma, Maci and Samuel Williams, and Nikitta Kyle. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Carson Scarbrough and Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilbanks-Reed Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites by the Eton Masonic Lodge #509 F&AM.
