Mr. Colvard “Joe” Parkage 78, of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday August 13, 2016 at his residence.

He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Mr. Park was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Park; parents, Rev. Albert Kirby Park, Sr. and Bertie Jenkins Park; brothers, William “Bill” Park, Albert Kirby Park, Jr.; nephew Kirby Wayne Park.

Survivors include, daughters, Pamela Blessing Joao, San Francisco, CA, Patrice Park Clark, and Lisa Park Leimkuehler both of FL; step-children, Robert, Richard, Valerie, Bonnie and Nina Birdsill; sisters, Wilma Park, Chattanooga, TN, and Ann Park McElrath, Cleveland. Special caregivers, grandson Jeremy Birdsill and close family friend James Miller. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Park will be held Thursday August 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
