Mr. John Raymond “R. B.” Banks age 79, of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday August 4, 2016.

He was a member of the Eton Baptist Church.

Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Vannie Banks and Robert Lee Banks; daughter, Carolyn Gravley; son, John David Banks; sisters, Jenny Jones and Frankie Kincaid.

Survivors include, daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Sue Davis, Chatsworth, Shirley and Ronald King, Chatsworth, Diane and Mike Davis, Ellijay, Tammy and Sam Coe, Chatsworth, Becky and Steve Saucer, Chatsworth; son, Tony R. Banks, Chatsworth; brother, Harold Banks, Talking Rock; grandchildren, Shannon, Laura, Amy, Christopher, Ann, Kimberly, Kyle, Tiffany, Stephanie, Samantha, Valerie, Coleman, Conner, T. J., Cody and Chelsey; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Banks will be held Sunday August 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Scotty Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Talking Rock.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
