Mrs. Eldis Patricia Smith age 75 of Chatsworth passed away Thursday May 26, 2016 at her residence.

She was a member of the Mtn. View Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing the Lord’s work.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin “Stopper” Smith; father, Winfred Ray Vaughn; mother, Bertha Vaughn Hudson; sisters, Muriel Tillis, Brenda Tankersley, Juanita Burger; brother, Ray Vaughn; grandchildren, Taron Mantooth and Shana Manley; great-grandchild, Austin Lee Bagley.

Survivors include, daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Mike Padgett, Shena Dodd, Sharon and Gerald Vineyard, Brenda Dyer, Judy and Ronnie Bagley all of Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Peggy Smith, Navarre, FL; Travis and Sherry Manley, Chatsworth, Tony Smith, Chatsworth; sisters, Wanda Sears, Cleveland, TN, Marsha Weber, Crestview, FL, Nancy Vaughn, Chatsworth; grandchildren and spouses, ShaanLei and Jeremy Hawkins, Chasi Dodd, Dakota Smith, Whitney Padgett, Jon Michael Padgett, Daylon Smith, Morgan Smith and Paiton Smith, Frances and Cody Green, Breanna and Al Hussieni, Dewayne Vineyard, Leslie and Billy Harris, Tim and Susie Bell, Chris and Kristy Bell, Julie and Jeff Caylor, Jeremy and Cindy Bagley, Jamie and Amy Bagley, Brittany Lopeman, Keleigh Dyer, Erica Wainwright. Numerous great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Eldis Smith will be held Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. from the Mtn. View Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Jackson, Rev. Crafton Dover and Rev. Robbie Chastain officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday May 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Peeples Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
