Mrs. Joann S. Thompson, age 73 of Chatsworth, passed away Wednesday April 20, 2016.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a son, Carl Thompson, Sr.; granddaughter, Valerie Ann Rich; father and mother, Roy Seay Sr., and Jewel Vick Rankin Seay; brothers, Willard Seay, Roy Seay, Jr.; sisters, Jackie Seay, Pearl Chubb and Opal Chubb.

Survivors include, husband of 57 years, Henry Thompson, Sr., Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, Henry, Jr. and Carol Thompson, Chatsworth, Randy and Ruthie Thompson, Gallatin, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Marian and Calvin Hogue, Chatsworth, Janis Grace, Chatsworth; sisters, Martha Westbury, SC, Margaret Hughes, SC, Francis Nealey, Dalton; brother, Frank Seay, Dalton; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Joann S. Thompson will be held Saturday April 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Freeman Busie and Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
