Raymond Scott Smith, age 57, of Crandall passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

Raymond enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially on Grassy Mountain, and treasured his horse, Goldy, and dog, Little Man.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Allan Smith.

Survivors include his sons, Nicholas Scott Smith of Chatsworth and Sampson Nathaniel Smith of Old Fort, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Hope Nichole & John Elliott of Danville, KY; parents, Charles (Ed) Edgar & Jean Elizabeth Smith of Crandall; brothers and sisters-in-law, David Alan & Marsha Smith of Chatsworth, Brian Wayne & Linda Smith of Crandall, Kenneth Ross & Kerry Smith of Woodstock, and Kelly Ryan & JoAnn Smith of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Linda & Jerry Parton of Trion and Wanda Lee & Greg Queen of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Alexia Breanna Smith, Aiden Cage Smith, and Faith Nichole Elliott; and other dear extended family members.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from the Blue Ridge Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Kyle Green, Paul Mooney, and Eddy Flick officiating. Interment will follow in the Harrison Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:30 until 9:00 pm.
