Mrs. Nan Ellis Bond, passed away Thursday January 21, 2016, just four weeks short of her 99th birthday.

She was married 61 years to the love of her life, Heartsill Bond, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents Walter C. and Dora Smith Ellis; brothers, Harold, Horace and Harlan Ellis; sisters, Lois Holcomb and Carrie Williams; also three precious nieces whom she thought of as daughters.

She was a lifelong member of Center Valley United Methodist Church where she was active through the years in all church activities.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Byron and Kinma Bond; grandsons and their wives, Brandon and Tollis Bond, and David and Alicia Bond; six great grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart, Braedon Bond, Tyler Moss, Brylan Bond, Asher Bond, Andrew Bond and Elli Bond, the little girl she waited for all her life. Several nieces, nephews and many special friends also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nan Ellis Bond will be held Sunday January 24, 2016 a 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. George Ross and Pastor Rachael Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Peeples Funeral Home.

Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
