Ralph L. Parker, age 84, of Chatsworth passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

He was an active member and deacon of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, and volunteering.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley & Minnie Parker; sisters, Lillie Mae Scott and Irene Roach; brothers, Lloyd, Glen, Charles, C. R., and Hoyt Parker; in-laws, Bill & Lydia Hickey; and grandson, Junior Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Mae Parker; sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin & Donna Parker and Wayne & Judy Parker – all of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Lela & Jimmy McCaslin of Chatsworth, Phyllis & Randy Manis of Chatsworth, and Donna & Smitty Mooney of Ellijay; sisters and brother-in-law, Ezma & Bradley Tankersley, Ruby Hickey, and Louise Parker – all of Chatsworth; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Elder David Mooney, Elder Kelly Smith, and Elder Ed Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm.
