Union County’s Most Wanted still at large from large methamphetamine drug bust

Blairsville, GA – On Thursday, June 22nd , 2017, 34 people were arrested and warrants were issued for 4 others. One of those ‘others’ has since been apprehended and arrested; but the three remaining are currently Union County’s Most Wanted because, according to UCSO Captain Chad Deyton and UCSO Sgt. Tyler Miller, they are the ringleaders.
Union County’s Most Wanted still at large from largest methamphetamine drug bust in Union County history. Still at large as of this writing are Michael Edward Parker, James Keith Cordle and Bridgette Maria Banks.

Drug Task Force Officer Arrested

Jasper, Ga. – The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and released reports for warrants and booking for one Charles Daniel Hamrick.
According to the Arrest Warrant, Hamrick is accused of using his position as a peace officer to convince a person to send nude and semi-nude photos to him. The offense violates his oath as a public officer.
The warrant alleges that Hamrick convinced a lady that she was a confidential informant for him and that she could have potential criminal charges brought against her. He then allegedly told her that he had destroyed her confidential informant file in return for the photos.
Having been arrested and booked on the charges, Hamrick has since paid a $1,000 bond and been released. As the official charge states Violation of Oath by Public Officer, it is charged as “a violation of the Oath taken by Hamrick as a Deputy with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the Deputy Commander of the Zell Miller Mountain Parkway Drug Task Force…”
K9 Unit checks on suspicious person finds 1/2 lb of meth

Murray County check leads to drug related arrest.
On Friday, August 15, a K9 unit in Murray County checked on a suspicious person. During the investigation they located 1/2 lb. of Meth, and $3,118.00 in cash, along with scales used to facilitate the sale of Meth. Arrested was William Ray Gentry age 42 of Sparta, Tennessee. He is currently housed in the Murray County Jail.
Motorcycle stop yields Meth arrest in Murray County

According to the Murray County Sheriff’s office a motorcycle stop results in a drug arrest.
On Thursday June 30, 2016 at approximately 10:45 pm, one of the Murray County K9 units were patrolling the area of Hwy 52 and it’s intersection of Holly Creek Cool Springs Road. The officer noticed a motorcycle operating illegal blue auxiliary lights and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver attempted to flee from the officer through the yards of a nearby residential area. The officer continued to pursue and the driver was finally arrested after wrecking the motorcycle.
Found on the suspect was approximately 13.5 grams of Methamphetamine with $1536.00 cash. The suspect is in custody and the investigation of the incident continues.
Short Pursuit over the weekend ends in Drug Arrest in Murray County

Over the weekend one of the Murray County K9 Units were involved in a short pursuit.
The pursuit of a small green car began in the area of Weaver Rd. and ended behind the 1st Baptist church in Eton. The chase resulted in 2 females and 1 male who were captured immediately. Another male was at large until located the next day. Both females had concealed drugs on their body when they entered the Jail.
