MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested a former teacher in Murray County following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.
Benjamin Michael Goldman, 46, of Crandall, has been charged with one count of improper sexual contact by an employee or agent, one count of sodomy, and one count of making a false statement to law enforcement.
According to the GBI, the Murray County Sheriff’s Office requested the agency’s assistance on March 30, 2026, after receiving a report that Goldman had engaged in sexual contact with a student while employed at North Murray High School. The investigation led to Goldman’s arrest the same day.
Goldman was booked into the Murray County Jail.
Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the GBI’s Regional Investigative Office in Calhoun or submit anonymous tips through the agency’s tip line or online portal.
Once the investigation is complete, the case will be turned over to the Conasauga Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
