Vehicle chase ends with two arrested

PRESS RELEASE – On March 11, 2025, Deputies with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a vehicle pursuit than ended in Varnell, Ga.

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be operated by a wanted individual at the intersection of Hwy 76 and Hwy 225. The vehicle, a 2012 Black Dodge Ram, showed no insurance and began to speed up when emergency lights and sirens were activated.

The pursuit continued into Whitfield County before the vehicle struck another vehicle just before Varnell Main Street.

The subjects then attempted to flee on foot but were soon apprehended.

Arnulfo Dimas and Emmanuel Jacobo of Chatsworth, GA were arrested and charged with the following.

• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Fleeing
• No Insurance
• Crossing Guard Lines w/ weapons/drugs/intoxicants
• Reckless Driving
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession w/ Intent to Distribute
• Possession of Drug Related Objects.
