Search warrant results in drug bust.
On September 5th 2021 Investigators with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit conducted a Search Warrant on a vehicle owned and operated by Tonya Jo Martin of Gordon County inside of Murray County. Investigators learned that large amounts of Methamphetamine were being transported from Gordon County up into Murray County. Upon execution of said Search Warrant, the following pictured items were located. Approximately 4 gross pounds of Methamphetamine was confiscated.
As a result of this investigation, Tonya Jo Martin of Red Bud Road Calhoun, Ga 30701 was charged with; Possession of Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and Possession of Methamphetamine W/Intent to Distribute
Rhonda Jean Simmons of Hwy 41 S/W Calhoun, Ga 30701 was charged with;
Possession of Methamphetamine.
