Vehicle Stop Leads to Drug Bust in Murray County

On 08/14/2021, Deputies with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 225 in South Murray County on a vehicle displaying an incorrect tag. Upon further investigation, approximately 17.75 gross ounces (over one pound) of suspected Methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle along with Drug Related Objects and less than an ounce of suspected Marijuana. The driver was identified as Jessica Leah Jones of Russell Hill Road Sugar Valley, Georgia.
