Drake sworn in as honorary Murray County Deputy

Yesterday the Sheriff’s Office was blessed with the honor to partner and participate with multiple law enforcement agencies across north Georgia to make a wish and a dream come true for a Murray County High School student.
Nathaniel Drake was sworn as an Honorary Murray County Deputy Sheriff after spending the day with the Georgia State Patrol and meeting the Governor. In attendance of this special ceremony were a number of local elected officials, law enforcement officials, Murray County School Teachers and Administrators, along with many, many others.
Honorary Deputy Nathaniel Drake was presented with a photoshoot by Brad Parker, a commemorative plaque, agency challenge coins, uniform patches and other gifts from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. It was a day of joyful celebration mixed with smiles, hugs and tears.
