Cordie J. Akins, age 79, of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eugene Akins; brothers, Ellis Price, Clarance Price, Calvin Price, and Phurlow Price; and daughter-in-law, Rose Akins.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward & Charlene Akins of Dalton, Keith Akins of Dalton, Berry Akins of Ohio, and David & Ann Akins of Ohio; brothers, Amos Price and Don Price – both of Florida; sisters, Alice Akins of Chatsworth, Lecoda Price of Florida, Roma Kirkland of Ohio, Joyce Melillo of Connecticut, and Linda Lambdam of Tennessee; grandchildren, Carl Eugene Akins Hammontree, Brandon Lee Akins Hammontree, Stewart Pierison, and Amanda Akins; and great-grandchildren, Breanna Hammontree and Carter Ray Akins Hammontree.
Funeral services for Mrs. Akins will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery in Tellico Plains, TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.
