Mr. Leonard “Peewee” Welch: Obituary

Mr. Leonard “Peewee” Welch age 63 of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday January 24, 2017 at his residence.

He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Peewee enjoyed reading, music, photography, long distance running, and hiking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar Leonard Welch and Mary Belle Wilbanks Welch; brother, Barry Lane Welch.

Survivors include, sisters and brother-in-law, Kitty and David Winkler, and Lori Welch Turpin all of Chatsworth; nieces and nephews, Starlan Childers, Hannah Welch Carroll, Mary Shea Turpin, and John Turpin; special friends, Melissa Green Morgan, Charles Silvers, and Teddy Davenport.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Welch will be held Tuesday January 31, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Brotherton officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilbanks Cemetery.

The body will lie-in-state from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Tuesday.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Peeples Funeral Home.
