Mr. James “Jim” Hornbuckle: Obituary

Mr. James “Jim” Hornbuckle age 74, of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.

He was a member of Homeland Baptist Church and a US Army 82^nd Airborne Veteran.

Mr. Hornbuckle was preceded in death by many family members.

Survivors include, wife, Mary Hornbuckle, Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, David B. and Angie Hornbuckle, Macon, GA, David J. and Melissa Hardin, Polk Co., TN, Aaron and Mariah Hardin, Pigeon Forge, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Mickey Collins, Chatsworth, Glenda and Lee Underwood, Polk Co., TN, Renee and Curry Smith, Hixon, TN; sister, Mona Peterson, Sterling, IL; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; special cousin, George “Buddy” Johnson.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Hornbuckle will be held Thursday December 15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
