Mr. Douglas R. Jeffers: Obituary

Mr. Douglas R. Jeffers, age 74, of Chatsworth, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William “High” Jeffers and Rena Boshears Jeffers; brothers, Earl Koger, L.C. Koger, Bobby Koger; and sister, Phillis L. Jeffers.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Jeffers of Chatsworth; daughter, Cheryl Ann Morgan of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Ray and Pat Jeffers of Knoxville, TN, Roger and Millie Jeffers of Knoxville, TN, Paul Jeffers of Huntsville, TN, Mark Jeffers of Huntsville, TN, and William Jeffers of Huntsville, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte Jeffers of Huntsville, TN, Jenny Jeffers of Knoxville, TN, JoAnn Burchfield of Oneida, TN, Carolyn Smith of Chatsworth, GA, and Bonnie Kay Jeffers; grandchildren, Erica Marie Duckett and Chad Ryan Duckett; great-grandchild Logan Charleston Williams; special nephew Earl Wayne Lloyd. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jeffers will be held Sunday, November 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Norma, TN, with Rev. Kenny Cox officiating. There will be a funeral Service following the visitation in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home Saturday At 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gene Thomason and the Rev. Randy McClure officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
