Mr. Brad K. Rowe: Obituary

Mr. Brad K. Rowe, age 74, of Chatsworth passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016.

Mr. Rowe was a veteran of the United States Navy, for which he specialized in intelligence in Okinawa.

Some of his hobbies included boating on the Tennessee River and restoring a 1954 Chevrolet Five-Window Coupe that earned him numerous awards.

He was also an active member of his community.  In Chatsworth, he received the following awards: Humanitarian of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Businessman of the Year, and the Inaugural Mayor’s Award. He served as the president of First Union, Colonial Bank, First Bank of Dalton, First National Community Bank of Chatsworth, and the Rotary Club. He was a board member of the Murray Medical Center Auxiliary, First National Community Bank of Chatsworth, and the Salvation Army. He was also a member of the Chatsworth City Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Dalton First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nancy Rowe; brother, George Rowe.

Survivors include, wife, Dinah Rowe, Chatsworth; daughter and fiancé, Molly Swanson and Tim Wilson, Murfreesboro, TN, daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jason LaForte, Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Ashley South, Shelby Swanson, Chandler Swanson, Joanna LaForte and Maggie LaForte.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Rowe will be held Sunday October 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Peeples Funeral Home.
