Mr. Charles M. “Bud” Hughes: Obituary

Charles M. “Bud” Hughes, 75 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at Murray Medical Center.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Alice Payne Hughes; brothers, Thomas B. Hughes, Fred J. Hughes, Joseph Elmer Hughes, and twin brother James Alvin “Gilbert” Hughes; sister, Magalean V. Eller.

Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley W. Hughes of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Tony Johnson of Chatsworth, Sherry and Rex Jones of Chatsworth, Tracey and Larry Crawley of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Kimberly R. Johnson, Bobby L. Johnson, Dennis E. and Taylor Johnson, Mason G. Crawley and Mitchell A. Crawley; great-grandchild, Carter “Jay” Ridley; brother-in –law, Lamar Eller; sisters-in-law, Loucrecia Hughes and Carzell Voyles; special pet Sparky; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Charles M. “Bud” Hughes will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Elder Ed Smith and Elder Kelly Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
