Mr. Robert Wayne Rodgers: Obituary

Mr. Robert Wayne Rodgers, age 80, of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016.

Mr. Rodgers enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and especially loved his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Rodgers; parents, Lucy and Sam Rodgers; sister, Faye Evett; brothers, Kenneth, Melvin and Keith Rodgers.

Survivors include, wife, Linda George Rodgers; son and daughter-in-law, David and Martha Rodgers, Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Kenny Reed, Azle, TX; brothers and sister-in-law, Rayford Rodgers, Riverside, CA, Jerry Rodgers, Shelbyville, TN, Mike and La June Rodgers, Scottsboro, AL; sister, Carolyn Rodgers, Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren and spouses, Cody (Anna) Rodgers, Chatsworth, Cassie Rodgers her fiancé (Austin O’Daniel), Calhoun, Russell Long, Amber (Brent) Light all of Azle, TX, Alexis Rodgers, Rebecca (Tony) Robertson, Jerimiah Hewitt all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Katelyn Long, Jillian and Kenny Light all of Azle, TX, Raelynn Rodgers, Chatsworth; nieces; nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Rodgers will be held Thursday August 4, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
