Mr. Otis D. “Buddy” Butrum: Obituary

Mr. Otis D. “Buddy” Butrum age 62 of Chatsworth, passed away Friday June 3, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Mr. Butrum was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Dalton. He loved his grandson, Kentucky Basketball, racing and motorcycles.

Mr. Butrum was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Ollie Mae Butrum; brother, Michael Butrum; grandson Luke Carnes.

Survivors include, wife of 38 years, Shelia Butrum, Chatsworth; son, Jason Butrum, Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Brandon Stanley, Chatsworth; mother, Billie Butrum, Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Marietta Hall, Dalton, Sonya Sexton and Pat Hayes, Dalton; grandchildren, Blake Carnes, Austin Carnes, Branson Hunter Carnes, Paisley Young, Madison Stanley and Gavyn Stanley; special friend, Dr. David Dennard; Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Butrum will be held Monday June 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran and Rev. Billy Willis, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
