Mr. Richard Edward Ryan: Obituary

Mr. Richard Edward Ryan, 93 of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Richard was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy as a member of a Combat Air Crew.

He was a 32° Mason and Past Master of his Lodge & a Member of Police Fellow Craft Club of Ohio.

Richard was a retired Cleveland Ohio Police Officer and original member of Ports & Harbors Unit, (Harbor Patrol). Member of Fraternal Order of Police, Cleveland Lodge#8.

He was in charge of Security at Salem Carpet Co., Majestic Plant and Beaulieu of America Carpet Co.

Richard was a member of the American Legion Post #167 and the Legion Honor Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Gertrude Ryan; wife, Robbie Ryan.

Richard is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Michael Craft of Ringgold; grandchildren, Caitlin Craft, Ryan Craft, and Allison Craft.

In honor of Mr. Ryan’s military service during WWII, a Private Flag Service will be held at a later date. His ashes will be taken to Barry’s Bay, Ontario, Canada.
