Mr. George Clayton Wilson: Obituary

Mr. George Clayton Wilson, 82 of Chatsworth, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was a member of the American Legion Post#167 and of the Sumach Lodge#55 F&AM. He enjoyed fishing.

George was preceded in death by his parents, William Wilson and Rosella Hooker; brother, Bobby Wilson; half-brothers, Earl Wilson and John Wilson; half-sister, Susie Wilson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Wilson of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Susie Wilson of Calhoun; daughter, Linda Wilson of Cisco; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Janie Wilson of Griffin, Ga; grandchildren, Hollie, Wendy, Sam, Matthew and Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Eli, Chloe, Isaac, Owen, Cooper, Annie Grace and Clayton; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. George Clayton Wilson will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bagley and Rev. Gene Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in Ramsey Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.
