Mr. James “Clayton” Timms, 81 of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Lucille Timms; brother, Harlin “Bill” Timms.
Survivors include his loving wife, Charlene Timms of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Jhan and Tammy Timms of Chatsworth; daughter, Tammie Timms of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Jhanna and Matt Bryson and Tyler Timms; aunt, Geneva Mashburn Seago; cousins also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. James “Clayton” Timms will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Payne, Rev. Bob Bagley and Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Herman Parker officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
