Cicily Welch: Obituary

Cicily Welch, age 78, of Smyrna and formerly of Chatsworth passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Cicily was an active and dedicated member of the Chatsworth First United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time on the computer, making crafts, and with her beloved granddaughter, Annie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Welch; parents, Noah Lee, Sr. & Mildred Lyle; sister, Ina Rutledge; and two half-sisters, Louise Dove and Evelyn Clack.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Brian Edwards of Mableton, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard & Nita Lyle of Woodbine, GA and Noah Lee Lyle, Jr. of Conyers, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Sarah & John Corkedale of Ellijay and Ann Donakowski of Grayling, MI; grandchild, Anne Elizabeth Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Welch will be held at the Chatsworth First United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, with Rev. Larisa Parker officiating. Interment will follow at the Smyrna Cemetery in Chatsworth.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until noon.
