Myra Lynn Ownbey, age 66, of Crandall passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.
Mrs. Ownbey was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hiking in the mountains, walking on the beach, making crafts, attending church, and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Elrod; mother, Bernice McCann Elrod; and brothers, Aaron and Gillman Elrod.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Merinda McGill of Chatsworth; daughter, Melissa Crisp of Cleveland, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Chene Elrod of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, O’Keema & Eddie Hammontree of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Cameron Saylors, Amethyst Patterson, Landon Frost, and Brayden Frost; great-grandchildren, Ainslee Saylors and Creed Saylors; aunts; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ownbey will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
