Paul Edward Burgess: Obituary

Mr. Paul Edward Burgess, age 78, of Dalton, passed away on August 25, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Mr. Burgess is preceded in death by his parents: Sylvester and Fannie Burgess, brothers: Willard Burgess and Arvil Burgess, sisters: Margaret Gentry, Loretta Shaw, Mary Helen Parrish, Jeweldene Burgess, and Ruby Burgess, Grandchildren: Jody Cochran and Josh Cochran.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sally Burgess of the residence, children: Edward & Angelina Burgess, Danny Burgess, Teresa & Donnie Biles, Analisa & Tim Headrick, Nancy & Don Dyer, grandchildren: Jonathan Burgess, Chad Burgess, Kristen Thomason, Briana Headrick, great grandchild” Easton Thomason, sisters and brother in law: Juanita Matthews, Shirley & Edward Turner, Eloise Waters, and Darlene Raburn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service for Mr Burgess will be Thursday at 3 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Bret Yaeger and Rev. James Watts officiating. Interment will be in United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM.
